About The Position

The Senior Manager of People Operations leads execution and continuous improvement of HR service delivery at AvidXchange. This role directly manages the HRIS team, drives process improvement across HR workflows, and advances the adoption of automation and AI tools that increase efficiency and elevate the employee experience. This is an execution-focused leadership role that translates HR strategy into operational reality through disciplined project management, rigorous process design, and scalable technology.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3+ years in an operations, COE, or HRIS-focused role
  • Demonstrated success leading process improvement or HR transformation projects
  • Experience integrating process design with technical design using Workday or equivalent
  • Demonstrated experience identifying and implementing automation solutions within HR workflows, with exposure to AI-powered tools preferred
  • Strong analytical skills and demonstrated ability to measure outcomes with data
  • Experience designing or managing HR shared services or service delivery frameworks
  • 3+ years of people leadership experience, including leading technical or systems-oriented teams
  • Experience supporting or building organizational planning cycles and performance reporting

Responsibilities

  • Assess HR workflows to identify friction and redundancy, and maintain a prioritized improvement roadmap with clear SLAs, cycle times, and error rate targets
  • Execute and continuously improve the tiered HR service model — self-service, shared services, and HRBP — including the HR knowledge base and case management workflows
  • Identify, pilot, and scale AI and automation tools across HR operations, tracking measurable outcomes and iterating based on results
  • Directly manage HRIS team members by setting priorities, developing technical capabilities, and owning the process improvement roadmap in coordination with the HRIS roadmap
  • Partner cross-functionally with HR, IT, and business stakeholders to align HR systems and workflows with organizational needs
