Senior Manager of Operations

MarketwakeAtlanta, GA

About The Position

A Senior Manager of Operations at Marketwake is a systems-minded builder who thrives in ambiguity, moves fast, and doesn’t wait to be told how. Marketwake has the momentum, the team, and the vision. This is the hire that turns that vision into structure. You’ll sit at the intersection of Sales, Delivery, and Finance - identifying where things break down and building the systems that make them run better. You report directly to the CEO and operate as a peer to department leads.

Requirements

  • 5–8 years of experience in operations, revenue operations, or business operations - ideally in an agency or services environment
  • Proven track record building operational infrastructure from scratch, not just maintaining it
  • Strong systems thinker with hands-on experience in HubSpot, Asana, and financial tools
  • Comfortable with data. You can build a dashboard, interpret a P&L, and spot a trend
  • High ownership mentality. You identify problems and fix them without being asked
  • Strong communicator who can work laterally across Sales, Delivery, and Finance without formal authority

Nice To Haves

  • Experience managing or mentoring others is a plus; an interest in building a team is required

Responsibilities

  • Audit existing tools and workflows; identify redundancy, gaps, and manual work that should be automated
  • Build and document the operational playbook - SOPs, handoff protocols, escalation paths
  • Lead systems integration across HubSpot, Asana, and financial tools to reduce tribal knowledge and improve handoffs
  • Own the full revenue workflow - from signed contract to project kickoff to invoice - and eliminate the friction between Sales, Delivery, and Finance
  • Build and maintain dashboards that give leadership real-time visibility into revenue, pipeline, and utilization
  • Partner with Sales and Delivery to standardize scoping frameworks, pricing tiers, and proposal logic
  • Partner with Finance to build forecasting models, track actuals vs. projections, and flag risk early
  • Own the operational budget, vendor relationships, and tooling spend
  • Support margin analysis by service line to inform pricing and resourcing decisions
  • Document how each team operates such as meeting cadences, escalation paths, and communication norms
  • Build team-level playbooks so new hires ramp faster and institutional knowledge is documented
  • Spot where teams are spinning - unclear ownership, duplicated effort, missing handoffs - and fix the root cause
  • Translate strategy into operational workflows department leads can hand directly to their teams
  • Build accountability structures for cross-functional work - who owns what, by when, and how it gets tracked
  • As the business scales, hire and develop an internal Operations function
  • Serve as an operational thought partner to the CEO on growth decisions, new service line viability, and structural design
