Eaton’s Global Aerospace group is seeking a Sr. Manager of Compliance, Global Repair Stations. This position can be based remotely within the US. Relocation assistance is not available. Travel is expected to be around 50% on average. The expected annual salary range for this role is $146000 - $215000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Eaton's Aerospace Group is currently seeking a FAA Repair Station leader to oversee all quality aspects of maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO), ensuring compliance, continuous improvement, safety, and consistency across Eaton’s global repair station activities. The Senior Manager of Compliance for Aerospace Global Repair Stations is responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining the regulatory compliance framework for Eaton’s repair stations. This role provides continuous oversight of Eaton’s repair stations to support accountable managers’ compliance with all applicable aviation regulations, customer requirements, and internal policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a quality, manufacturing, or continuous improvement role subject to FAA, EASA, DoD, or DOT regulations and compliance
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a business operating under FAA Part 145/43 or in a military aviation repair station environment
  • Minimum of 2 years in a direct leadership position
  • This position requires access to export-controlled information. To conform to U.S. Government export regulations applicable to that information, applicant must be a U.S. person, defined as a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (green card holder), (iii) refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) asylee under 8U.S.C. § 1158.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to translate complex technical and legal requirements into clear, actionable language.
  • Command of analytical thinking along with a problem-solving mindset to develop practical, data-driven solutions with sustainable corrective actions.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience as an Accountable Manager, Quality Engineer, Repair Station Lead, or other leadership role in a unit under FAA Part 145 / 43 or military aviation repair station environment.
  • Experience managing and implementing DER (Designated Engineering Representative) repairs and working closely with engineering teams to develop approved repair processes.
  • Experience working with government contracts and surveillance protocols.
  • Extensive experience with the operation, calibration, and maintenance of aircraft accessory testing equipment, including test benches, flow stands, and electrical/hydraulic test rigs.
  • Deep hands-on expertise in aircraft fuel, hydraulic and conveyance systems, with a strong background in troubleshooting, repair, and overhaul of related components.
  • Thorough understanding of machining, welding, assembly operations, gauging, SPC, APQP, and quality assurance systems (ISO 9001, AS9100) and/or FAA Repair Station standards. Experience with Lean Manufacturing, AS9100, and ISO14000 standards is a plus.
  • Repairman Certificate or Inspection Authorization (IA)
  • Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Quality Auditor (CQA)

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and implement regulatory compliance with FAA, EASA, CAA, CAAC, AS9100, ISO9000, and other applicable industry and Eaton quality system standards.
  • Provide expert guidance for Part 145 and 43 compliance, ensuring all maintenance practices adhere to the latest FARs, advisory circulars, and company-approved manuals.
  • Monitor regulatory changes, assess their impact on operations, and support implementation of required updates.
  • Maintain oversight of each repair station’s Repair Station Manual (RSM), Quality Control Manual (QCM), training manual, and associated procedures.
  • Ensure Repair Station personnel have access to a current library of 14 CFR documents, including applicable CFRs, FAA Airworthiness Directives, FAA Orders, FAA Notices, FAA Advisory Circulars, and other pertinent publications.
  • Assure readiness for routine inspections, including regulatory agency, customer audits, and internal reviews.
  • Oversee compliance with safety management system (SMS) requirements.
  • Ensure site regulatory certifications are maintained.
  • Provides technical guidance to inspectors, engineers, suppliers, and customers on quality and compliance matters.
  • Promotes compliance with the policies and procedures governing the safety management system.
  • Offers input on amendments to site repair station and quality control manuals, collaborating with the Accountable Manager and Chief Inspector to ensure proposed changes meet regulatory standards and procedures.
  • Ensures compliance through active oversight and due diligence, conducting internal audits and surveillance of maintenance, training, record keeping, and process controls.
  • Engages actively with regulatory officials and customers, demonstrating strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Mentor site Accountable Managers and Repair Station Managers
  • Provide training and coaching for Plant Managers and applicable plant staff to ensure awareness of compliance requirements
  • Assist the accountable managers in coordinating and managing FAA inspections, customer, and other third-party audits
  • Ensure technician training and certification meet regulatory expectations
  • Promote cross-functional collaboration with Quality Assurance, Customer Service, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams
  • Assist with planning and overseeing internal audits and compliance surveillance activities
  • Support timely closure of audit findings and effective root cause analysis
