About The Position

Vercel is seeking a Senior Manager of Compensation to partner directly with their Go-To-Market (GTM) and General & Administrative (G&A) teams. This role involves working closely with business leaders, People Business Partners, and Recruiting to ensure the company's compensation strategies effectively attract top talent, reward performance, and align with operational practices. The Senior Manager will also collaborate with the Head of Total Rewards on executive compensation. This is a hands-on position where the individual will not only provide advice but also actively drive decision-making.

Requirements

  • Approach compensation like a product; something to design, build, and improve
  • Translate market data into a compensation strategy that fits the company
  • Comfortable questioning standard approaches when they don’t make sense
  • Ability to explain compensation in plain language
  • Understanding of executive compensation across private and public company contexts
  • Experience in a fast-growing tech company, preferably with international employees

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with leaders across GTM and G&A to guide compensation decisions and tradeoffs
  • Turn compensation data into clear insights that drive decisions, not just reports
  • Use multiple data sources to build and maintain competitive salary bands, bonus targets, and equity ranges
  • Help managers and employees understand how compensation works - clearly and simply
  • Partner on executive compensation strategy, including benchmarking and equity programs
