About The Position

We are looking for a Senior Manager of Business Operations - Engineering Strategy, Planning & Analytics to join our Zero Trust Exchange team. This is a hybrid role (onsite 3 days a week) in San Jose, CA reporting to the Senior Director, Engineering Operations, Zero Trust Exchange. We are looking for a Sr. Manager of BizOps - Engineering Strategy, Planning & Analytics to drive data-informed decision-making across the engineering organization. This role transforms complex data into actionable insights that inform both high-level strategy and day-to-day execution across the Software Development Lifecycle, while also leading planning, performance analytics, and operational rigor at scale.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in engineering operations, analytics, strategy, or technical program management, with a strong focus on data-driven decision-making
  • Advanced analytical skills (complex formulas, pivots, data modeling) and experience with SQL and data analysis tools
  • Proven experience managing cross-functional projects end-to-end, delivering insights and measurable business impact
  • Strong ability to interpret business and engineering metrics, connect multiple data sources, and communicate insights to senior stakeholders
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Finance, Math, Statistics, Economics, or related quantitative field

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of experience managing analysts, data engineers, or operations teams
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau), and data architecture concepts
  • Experience driving engineering productivity frameworks, capacity planning, or scalable planning & analytics systems, with familiarity in tools like Jira, Salesforce, or Confluence

Responsibilities

  • Lead quarterly and annual engineering planning cycles (Application Performance Monitoring (APM), headcount, budgeting), aligning investments with business priorities and ensuring accurate capacity modeling
  • Own and scale engineering planning processes (APM, headcount, budgeting, and forecasting), ensuring alignment with business priorities and financial targets
  • Responsible for Business Analytics for Engineering. Build and maintain data models, dashboards, reporting systems, and performance metrics that provide visibility into engineering productivity, cost efficiency, and delivery outcomes
  • Define and run operating cadences (QBRs, planning reviews, OKR interlocks) to establish a strong rhythm of business and ensure execution against goals
  • Communicate insights and business impact clearly to senior stakeholders, while driving process improvements, tooling enhancements (e.g., Jira), and scalable analytics frameworks
