About The Position

Pratt & Whitney Military Engines Sustainment is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Supplier Quality Manager to serve as the primary quality representative for the Sustainment Supplier Quality organization. This Senior Manager (M5) role plays a critical leadership part in ensuring the quality, reliability, and readiness of the Military Engines supply base by driving robust processes, standard work, and issue resolution across a complex and global supplier and repair network. The successful candidate will lead Supplier Quality Engineers (SQEs), provide functional guidance, and serve as the focal point for quality investigation, First Article Inspection subject-matter expertise, supplier risk mitigation, compliance activities, and the continuous improvement of sustainment quality systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, quality, or a related technical field and 10 years of experience in aerospace, manufacturing, or quality engineering; or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing teams or major cross‑functional initiatives.
  • Experience in supplier quality, RCCA, AS9100/AS13000, and FAI processes.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree or advanced training in quality engineering, operations, or continuous improvement.
  • Experience with Military Engines, depot repair, sustainment operations, or support equipment quality management.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex investigations, supplier development initiatives, and compliance activities.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with cross‑functional leaders across the F119, F100, and F135 programs to align strategy and cohesively execute enterprise‑level continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational performance and organizational effectiveness.
  • Provide day‑to‑day leadership and technical guidance to the Supplier Quality Assurance and Engineering teams, ensuring alignment with Military Engines Sustainment priorities and compliance requirements.
  • Act as the focal point for all open quality escape investigations, ensuring timely containment, root cause analysis, corrective action, and communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Serve as the First Article Inspection (FAI) Subject Matter Expert for the Military Engines Sustainment organization, providing interpretation, guidance, and governance of FAI requirements.
  • Lead qualification, oversight, and compliance activities for the Military Engines repair supplier base, ensuring adherence to contractual requirements.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain robust supplier risk analysis and mitigation processes that proactively identify and manage supplier health across the global sustainment network.
  • Execute quality management oversight for Support Equipment OEM and repair activities supporting the F119 and F135 programs, ensuring compliance to design intent, process controls, and sustainment readiness.
  • Lead the maturity, governance, and execution of the Quality Clinic process across the Military Engines Sustainment organization, driving improvements in issue triage, root cause identification, and corrective action closure.
