The Senior Manager, Medical Communications and Publications serves as a resource and subject matter expert for US scientific medical communications and locally developed publications within Neurology. Operating with a high degree of independence, this role contributes to strategic planning and leads large and/or multiple smaller projects of moderate complexity, risk, and resource requirements that are aligned with Medical Affairs priorities, business objectives, departmental goals, budgets, and the evolving neurology landscape, including disease education, emerging data, treatment pathways, unmet needs, and stakeholder insights. Serving as a primary point of contact for the development and deployment of US scientific communication materials, the Senior Manager leads field medical resources, scientific narratives, presentation content, congress materials, and external expert engagement resources, ensuring high-quality and timely execution across channels. The Senior Manager also oversees locally developed scientific publications, such as abstracts and manuscripts, managing coordination, review, and submission processes to ensure scientific accuracy, compliance, and alignment with Medical Affairs priorities. The role collaborates closely with cross-functional partners, including the Therapy Area Head, Medical Directors, Field Medical, HEOR/RWE leads, Clinical Operations, Regulatory, Legal and Business Ethics, Corporate Communications, Training/Medical Excellence, and Global Medical Affairs, influencing business decisions within their area of responsibility while partnering with leadership on broader strategic initiatives.
