We are looking for a skilled and passionate Senior Manager, Manufacturing Engineering to lead a team of engineers to help scale our production and implement best practices that will deliver quality, service and cost efficiency to the business. Your Day to Day As a Senior Manager, Manufacturing Engineering, you'll be a key leader in our operations, responsible for the full lifecycle of our products. You'll manage a team of engineers and collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure the efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness of our manufacturing processes.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing or manufacturing engineering, with at least 5 years in a management or leadership role.
  • Demonstrated results: Setting up and leading production of electromechanical contract manufacturing partners, domestic and international
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • Deep expertise in manufacturing processes, including lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and assembly line optimization.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a proven track record of solving complex production issues.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team to achieve ambitious goals.
  • Ability to be in the office 4-5 days per week
  • Must be able to travel up to 25%. Travel will mainly be domestic, but may be overseas travel upwards of 3-5 times a year.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, coach, and develop a high-performing team of manufacturing engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
  • Drive the continuous improvement of manufacturing processes, tools, and workflows to increase production output, reduce cycle times, and minimize defects.
  • Serve as a key technical lead for NPI, ensuring seamless and efficient transitions of new products from development to production. This includes leading DFM (Design for Manufacturability), DFA (Design for Assembly) and PFMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) initiatives.
  • Provide hands-on technical support contract manufacturing production lines, quickly resolving issues and implementing robust corrective and preventive actions.
  • Partner with teams in Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, Software, Technical Service and Program Management to drive strategic initiatives and ensure alignment across the organization.
  • Utilize data and analytics to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to improve manufacturing operations.
