About The Position

As the Senior Manager, Literacy Ministry Development, you will lead the growth and implementation of church-based literacy initiatives, equipping communities through training, partnerships, and Scripture-based learning journeys. This role will play a key part in establishing a hub for literacy ministry, strengthening local and regional partnerships, and expanding the reach of Our Daily Bread Ministries’ impact across Southern Africa.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in ministry, education, business, administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience in missions, with a focus on partnership development.
  • Background in leadership training, curriculum development, teaching, or ministry engagement.
  • Strong relationship-building, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives, partnerships, and reporting processes.
  • Willingness to travel locally and occasionally regionally or internationally.
  • A mature Christian faith and passion for global Bible engagement and discipleship.
  • Commitment to the ministry’s mission, values, and statement of faith.
  • A life consistent with biblical principles and ongoing spiritual growth.

  • Master’s degree in ministry or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and expand a church-centered literacy training hub serving local communities and outreach initiatives.
  • Facilitate literacy programs, including learner engagement, progress tracking, and testimony reporting.
  • Coordinate with the South Africa office for receiving, distributing, and managing ministry materials.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with churches, schools, and ministry organizations.
  • Integrate and promote Artos Academy within literacy training and outreach environments.
  • Recruit, train, and coordinate volunteers supporting literacy initiatives.
  • Support and host visiting mission teams involved in literacy facilitation.
  • Provide leadership in program follow-up, reporting, and Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) management.
  • Assist in expanding literacy initiatives to other cities in South Africa and nearby countries as opportunities arise.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align literacy ministry efforts with global strategic initiatives.
