About The Position

This role is responsible for driving business execution, leading teams, managing programs and projects, and supporting Walmart’s values while delivering strong operational results. The Senior Manager I, Operations Improvement, Facility will drive the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs, developing and communicating business plans and priorities, removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance, providing resources, identifying performance standards, measuring progress and adjusting performance accordingly, developing contingency plans, demonstrating adaptability, and supporting continuous learning. This role ensures business needs are being met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives; consulting with business partners, managers, coworkers, or other key stakeholders; soliciting, evaluating, and applying ideas for improving efficiency and cost-effectiveness; and participating in and supporting community outreach events. The Senior Manager I, Operations Improvement, Facility manages multiple projects by defining scope of work and project objectives; establishing project activities, deliverables, milestones, and timelines; coordinating planning activities; assembling management plans; tracking changes; ensuring resolution of critical issues; managing governance of project plans; identifying and securing resources; monitoring budgets and costs; and delivering presentations, status reports, and project documentation to stakeholders. This role also manages content management initiatives by evaluating and prioritizing content requests; designing, developing, automating, and maintaining tools, templates, and resources; collaborating with teams to develop and implement intranet content; providing guidance on platform functionality, communication approaches, and content quality standards; ensuring alignment with content governance standards; auditing content; and adapting digital communication methods to resolve audit concerns. The Senior Manager I, Operations Improvement, Facility manages processes and procedures for areas of responsibility by analyzing data to identify existing standards, processes, governance, and workflows; evaluating business components and performance baselines; identifying improvement opportunities; editing existing processes; developing improvement solutions; ensuring processes are simple, executable, and sustainable; aligning with cross‑functional teams; and communicating changes to drive stakeholder buy‑in. This role manages behavior change and process improvement programs by evaluating and determining improvement needs; partnering with cross‑functional teams to develop operational strategies; providing guidance on company policies and procedures; ensuring proper controls, tools, and materials are available; monitoring performance against metrics; identifying post‑implementation issues; and developing and gaining alignment on resolutions. Additionally, the Senior Manager I, Operations Improvement, Facility provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by selecting and training; mentoring; assigning duties; building a team‑based work environment; establishing performance expectations; conducting regular performance evaluations; providing recognition and rewards; coaching for success and improvement; and promoting a belonging mindset in the workplace. This role promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by training and guiding others in their application, ensuring compliance, and utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field and 3 years’ experience in retail operations, content development, project management, or related area OR 5 years’ experience in retail operations, content development, project management, or related area.
