Together, we’re improving health and improving lives. Labcorp is seeking a hybrid Senior Manager, HR M&A to join our team. (Applicants who live within 35 miles of either the Burlington, NC or Durham, NC location will follow a hybrid schedule. This schedule includes a minimum of three in-office days per week and two days working remotely, supporting both collaboration and flexibility)

Requirements

  • 6 years of HR experience, including experience in mergers and acquisitions
  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in HR or similar field
  • 4 years of project/program management experience.
  • Broad HR generalist knowledge with understanding of complete employment lifecycle
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills with the ability to drive to consensus on creative approaches to solving unique challenges in transitioning acquisition employees to Labcorp.
  • Ability to effectively work with various levels of management and leadership in both Labcorp and the seller’s organization.
  • Strong project management skills, including demonstrated ability to think end-to-end and manage multiple projects simultaneously with tight deadlines, ambiguous data, and rapidly shifting priorities
  • Keen attention to detail and accuracy, hands-on mentality, ability to influence in a global, matrixed environment
  • Strong written and verbal communications; presentation skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in international HR and M&A a strong plus
  • Knowledge of Workday utilizing best practices for M&A activities

Responsibilities

  • Works with the designated HRBP lead on M&A team meetings and partners with Global HR organization and HR Centers of Excellence on due diligence and analysis. Ensures all HR efforts are coordinated, and operational HR risks are identified and addressed during due diligence and integration.
  • Provides expertise, strategic consulting as well as thought leadership to help drive effective people strategies for each deal and influence deal negotiations accordingly.
  • Analyzes target company data to identify key HR-related financial exposures in a due diligence context, including those related to compensation and benefits plans.
  • Review and provide input on purchase agreements, disclosure schedules, presentation materials, employee communications.
  • Build and manage detailed project management plans for M&A transactions, from diligence to integration, coordinating HR COE activities to meet deal timeline.
  • Lead HR team meetings, serve as HR functional lead on diligence calls, develop HR integration plan for IMO team.
  • Provide input on HR best practices on processes that will be utilized during all merger and/or acquisition initiatives, both domestic and international, continuously improving the deal execution and integration processes utilizing integration checklists, project templates, best practices and project management tools pertaining to HR.
  • Serves as a liaison to ensure smooth integration of mergers and acquisitions into the organization, providing valuable insight on integration of HR processes and practices, including but not limited to organizational design, compensation and benefits.
  • This role functions as an HR mergers and acquisition SME and works in partnership with the HRBP for the business and is closely involved in project planning (pre and post-acquisition), partnering with members of the deal team to raise any due diligence HR compliance issues, HR COE leaders, Finance, Legal and other functions on aspects of the deal (from concept to integration). Serves a critical role in planning and managing M&A projects.
