We are looking for a strategic, data-driven, and highly collaborative Field Operations Manager to act as the dedicated business partner to our Revenue Architect (RA) organization. In this role, you will sit at the intersection of strategy, operations, analytics, and change management. You won't just report on the news; you will help make it. You will partner with RA leadership to define the strategy, while simultaneously rolling up your sleeves to build the infrastructure, processes, and cadence required to execute that strategy. You will act as the "Voice of the Field," working cross-functionally with Finance, Recruiting, Operations, Strategy, Enablement, and Product to secure the resources and alignment necessary for the Revenue Architect team to deliver exceptional value to Gong customers.

  • Industry Context: 1-2 years of specific experience supporting a Professional Services or Revenue Architect organization (SaaS experience preferred).
  • Analytical Prowess: Strong proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and experience with SQL
  • Strategic Thinker: Ability to see the "big picture" while managing the details. You can flip between high-level strategy and deep-dive analytics seamlessly.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning & Resource Management
  • Operational Strategy: Partner with RA leadership to design the long-term operational strategy, moving beyond day-to-day tactics to drive scalable growth.
  • Capacity Planning: Look around corners and prepare multiple quarters ahead. Collaborate with the Strategy team on robust capacity models to identify hiring needs, prioritize resources, and ensure the team is staffed to meet future demand.
  • Business Partnering: Act as the primary liaison between Revenue Architect and back-office functions (Finance, HR/Recruiting, Deal Desk) to remove friction and secure necessary headcount and budget.
  • Operational Excellence & Rhythm of Business
  • Process Definition: Define, document, and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency in customer experience and internal operations.
  • Operating Rhythm: Own the cadence of the business. Manage weekly forecasts, QBRs, monthly business reviews, and leadership meetings to ensure accountability and transparency.
  • Change Management: Lead the rollout of new initiatives, tools, and processes. Ensure field readiness and drive high adoption rates across the Revenue Architect team.
  • Project Management: Lead cross-functional projects aimed at improving efficiency and retention.
  • Analytics & Performance Management
  • Performance Drivers: Monitor key RA metrics (Retention, Customer Health, Upsell). Identify trends and proactively recommend actions to improve performance.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Translate complex data into actionable insights. Tell the story behind the numbers to influence leadership decisions.
