About The Position

The Senior Manager, Global Strategic Feasibility participates in the development of global study strategic feasibility proposals in partnership with regional strategic feasibility teams and cross-functional stakeholders. The role partners closely with Global Program & Study Management to support data-driven study planning and operational feasibility input across early- to late-stage medicines development within Global Clinical Operations (GCO). The role requires a strong understanding of global, regional, and country-level landscapes and regulatory considerations. The Senior Manager supports and coordinates high-quality strategic feasibility and site identification assessments based on standard of care, disease landscape, and competitive intelligence, including but not limited to competing trials, recent or upcoming approvals, prescribing data, insurance claims data, diversity considerations, and recruitment capabilities. This includes intelligence gathering and risk assessment, balanced with therapeutic knowledge, data analytics, and interpretation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a scientific, medical or healthcare discipline with minimum of 5+ years of combined experience in Feasibility, Clinical Trial Management, Personnel Management and Operations Management.
  • Other relevant clinical operations experience will be considered.
  • Microsoft Office Suite, CTMS applications, EDC applications, analytic tools (e.g. Citeline, Trialtrove, etc.) and additional feasibility software
  • Proven experience analyzing and interpreting operational, competitive, epidemiology, site, and country-level data to support informed feasibility recommendations.
  • Understanding of principles informing country and site identification, feasibility, study start-up, recruitment, and retention strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence, build relationships, and achieve results with cross-functional stakeholders in a matrixed environment with competing priorities.
  • Experience contributing to study delivery strategies and tactical/operational plans aligned with development, regulatory, and business objectives.
  • Experience supporting project planning, timeline management, and budget-related tracking as applicable.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as a feasibility point of contact for assigned studies, programs, or workstreams and liaises cross-functionally to support timely delivery of global strategic feasibility proposals.
  • Promotes consistent use of agreed data, tools, templates, and processes across regions to support quality decision-making at therapeutic area, indication, program, and study levels.
  • Partners with internal stakeholders including global clinical program leaders, global clinical study managers, development core team etc.; combines and integrates data to provide clear feasibility recommendations to strengthen data-driven trend analysis, identify root causes, and provide relevant recommendations across study teams and programs to accelerate study execution.
  • Provides operational feasibility insights to inform study design considerations and optimization discussions.
  • Maintains strong working knowledge of feasibility tools, technologies, databases, and platforms and supports effective application across assigned studies or initiatives.
  • Support modelling of strategy options for the study using relevant internal and external data assets, predictive models
  • Support interpretation of data and development of recommendations on operational strategy
  • Provide data-driven operational feasibility input and recommendations, including country selection, patient and site allocation, site identification, and recruitment and retention recommendations at TA/indication/program level taking into consideration outstanding needs of indication, patient population, study, and business priorities
  • Contributes in efforts to implement creative processes, methodologies, data, and technologies to ensure ongoing delivery of valued global study strategic feasibility service.
  • Contributes feasibility insights to strategic planning meetings, training calls, study kick-off meetings, and ongoing study team meetings to support alignment of feasibility strategies and follow-through on agreed actions.
  • Supports global study strategic feasibility related initiatives and taskforces for continuous improvement and optimization
  • Collaborates with Data Science & Operational Excellence, Clinical Systems & Innovation in the development of feasibility tools, systems and platforms
  • Determines risk/mitigation planning to study feasibility or recruitment and retention of the study participants.
  • Maintains current therapeutic area knowledge and assesses impact of evolving information on operational strategies.
  • Performs root cause analysis and recommends mitigation steps to address feasibility-related roadblocks impacting study execution, enrollment, and retention.
