Provides guidance and leadership in the delivery of accounting services ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations and organizational initiatives are met. This role is responsible for administering and overseeing the day-to-day business-related functions for the accounts receivable areas of operations, including accounting, budget, purchasing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. The Senior Manager researches and analyzes problems related to accounting, cash management, contract billing, refunds, and tuition payments, recommending solutions within District guidelines. They also cultivate alliances, act as a trusted advisor, protect privacy and confidentiality, enable employee and student growth, promote positive relations, ensure compliance with policies and laws, develop reports, build relationships with vendors and agencies, and assist personnel, students, vendors, and the public. Additionally, this role directs and manages others, determines work procedures, assigns duties, promotes efficiency, may develop operational programs, and may write or present complex papers and reports. They lead, plan, develop, and implement projects for improvements, meet with staff about changes, and utilize excellent communication skills. The position requires completing professional development hours, supervising employees, and potentially managing a department budget.
