About The Position

The Vail Resorts Finance Team supports a publicly traded company operating 42 mountain resorts and regional ski areas across the U.S., Canada, Europe, and Australia. The Finance Systems & Insights team is evolving FP&A through scalable systems, trusted data, automation, advanced analytics, and AI-enabled capabilities to improve efficiency, insights, and the experience of internal customers.

Based at the Broomfield, Colorado headquarters, the Senior Manager, Finance Systems & Insights will lead efforts to transform Finance at Vail Resorts. Reporting to the Director of Finance Systems & Insights, this role oversees optimization and evolution of the Planful platform, develops scalable planning and reporting solutions, and helps shape the data architecture for enterprise financial planning and decision-making. The position works closely with Finance, Technology, and business leaders to drive efficiency, enable self-service, and deliver solutions that help Finance teams focus on business value and actionable insights.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in financial systems, FP&A technology, business analytics, or related disciplines.
• Hands-on experience administering enterprise planning solutions such as Planful or similar platforms.
• Experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives.
• Proven experience designing and supporting planning models, forecasting solutions, and financial reporting processes.
• Strong understanding of data architecture, data integration, and financial data management concepts.
• Experience using SQL and other data tools to analyze, transform, and deliver business insights.
• Experience leveraging automation, AI, or generative AI to improve business processes, reporting, and analysis.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects, manage competing priorities, and deliver scalable solutions.
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to live within 50 miles of the Broomfield office and work on-site Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday; off-site work is available Mondays and Fridays, subject to change.
• At least 18 years of age.

Nice To Haves

• MBA or relevant graduate degree.
• Deep experience administering, configuring, and optimizing the Planful platform.
• Experience with Power BI, Snowflake, Databricks, Alteryx, or similar analytics platforms.
• Experience with process automation, low-code solutions, or robotic process automation (RPA).
• Experience leading Finance transformation, system implementation, or large-scale process improvement initiatives.
• Experience partnering with Finance, Technology, and Data teams in a complex organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead administration, configuration, and optimization of the Planful FP&A platform to support evolving business needs.
• Design, build, and maintain planning models for forecasting, scenario planning, and business decision support.
• Develop and manage data architecture supporting enterprise-wide planning, forecasting, and reporting.
• Partner with Finance and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable system solutions, planning models, and actionable insights.
• Maintain and enhance financial reporting solutions for daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly business reviews.
• Identify and implement process improvements that simplify, standardize, and automate Finance processes while improving efficiency and user experience.
• Evaluate and leverage automation and AI-enabled capabilities to accelerate analysis, reporting, and decision-making.
• Provide Finance users with training, guidance, and support on system functionality and best practices.
• Collaborate with Finance, Technology, and Analytics teams to improve data quality, reporting capabilities, and access to insights.
• Advance Finance Systems & Insights initiatives and drive continuous improvement as part of the ongoing Finance transformation.
