About The Position

Position Summary... What you'll do... Role summary: The Senior Manager, Existing Global Markets Finance will support the performance and growth of Walmart Marketplace across established international markets. This role will provide a consistent financial view while partnering with local business and finance teams to strengthen plans, operating performance, and investment decisions. The Senior Manager will connect market-specific needs with Global Marketplace strategy, including assortment, seller growth, fulfillment, pricing, and monetization. The successful candidate will bring strong financial judgment, curiosity, and the ability to operate effectively across cultures and matrixed teams. The role may also support other strategic Marketplace priorities as business needs and opportunities evolve over time. About the team: Walmart’s Global Marketplace Finance team partners with leaders to drive key growth initiatives by delivering precise financial insights. The team supports expanded assortment, faster fulfillment, and dependable customer and seller experiences through collaboration with Marketplace, Walmart Fulfillment Services, and enterprise groups. They translate strategy into measurable financial outcomes via long-term planning, forecasting, and performance management. Valuing intellectual curiosity, ownership, and practical problem-solving, the team offers opportunities to influence senior leadership and shape the future of Walmart’s global digital marketplace. Strong communication and financial expertise are essential to success in this role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field and 4 years’ experience in accounting, finance, or related area OR 6 years’ experience in accounting, finance, or related area.
  • 1 year’s experience leading and completing cross-functional projects.
  • 1 year’s supervisory experience.
  • Extensive experience in financial planning, analysis, and modeling to support business performance and expense management.
  • Proven ability to manage complex control structures and mitigate financial risks through effective process development and monitoring.
  • Strong communication skills to present financial results, forecasts, and recommendations to senior management and cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated leadership in supervising, mentoring, and developing associates within a team-based environment.
  • Expertise in driving business plans, removing obstacles, and adapting strategies to meet operational and customer needs.
  • Commitment to ethical standards, compliance, and fostering a culture of integrity and accountability.

Responsibilities

  • Support financial planning, forecasting, business cases, and performance insights for assigned international markets.
  • Partner with local market Finance and business teams to evaluate growth opportunities, investment choices, seller and assortment strategies, fulfillment economics, and operating risks.
  • Build common scorecards and decision frameworks that enable leadership to compare performance across markets while recognizing local differences in customer needs and maturity.
  • Identify trends, surface risks, and recommend actions to improve growth and profitability.
  • Coordinate with Global Marketplace, International, Product, Technology, Supply Chain, and Strategy partners.
  • Support executive reviews and flex into cross-market or enterprise initiatives as priorities and business needs change.
