About The Position

Brand USA is seeking a tech-savvy and marketing-instinctive Senior Manager of Event Technology & Systems to join their evolving Event Strategy & Production department. This newly reimagined role is designed for someone who wants to own the technology and communications aspects of the department, making it more operationally self-sufficient. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with Cvent, AI tools for content creation and workflow optimization, and eager to build and innovate rather than maintain existing systems. This position is a key partnership within a two-person events team, reporting to the Senior Director, Event Operations, and will involve both strategic technology ownership and hands-on on-site support.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in event marketing, event technology, or a closely related field, with exposure to both marketing and operational aspects of events.
  • Hands-on Cvent administration experience (building registration sites, setting up email campaigns, pulling custom reports).
  • Proficiency with Wrike or a comparable project management platform.
  • Active, daily use of AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or similar) for writing, communications, and workflow efficiency.
  • Strong written communication skills, with the ability to write clearly and on-brand.
  • Genuine curiosity about technology and a proactive approach to exploring new tools.
  • Sufficient operational awareness to be effective on-site at events and a willingness to pitch in.
  • Strong organizational instincts and the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
  • A dedicated remote work area that is quiet enough for employees to concentrate.
  • Must have homeowner’s or renter’s insurance.
  • Ability to comply with company technology, safety, and health requirements.
  • Ability to travel as required (up to 25%).
  • Ability to frequently operate a computer and other office productivity machinery.
  • Ability to lift up to twenty (20) pounds.
  • Ability to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • May require more than forty (40) hours per week to meet deadlines.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience building templates and automations in Wrike.
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM, including event data integration.
  • Experience in travel, tourism, or destination marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Own and administer the full Cvent platform, including registration builds, event websites, mobile apps, session management, attendee communications, and post-event reporting.
  • Manage Salesforce CRM integration with event data to ensure clean data flow.
  • Serve as the primary Wrike administrator for the department, building project templates, setting up automations, and managing team task boards.
  • Leverage AI tools (e.g., Claude Projects) to organize event knowledge, build briefing frameworks, and create efficient workflows.
  • Evaluate, champion, and implement new event technology tools.
  • Proactively recommend process improvements and anticipate technical challenges.
  • Own the full event communications calendar: plan, write, build, test, and deploy all attendee-facing emails, exhibitor updates, and delegate communications.
  • Actively use AI tools for drafting event copy, generating communications, and accelerating marketing deliverables.
  • Collaborate with Trade and PR teams on event marketing strategies to drive registration and engagement.
  • Write clear and brand-consistent copy for websites, speaker bios, event descriptions, FAQs, logistics guides, and post-event surveys.
  • Track, analyze, and report on marketing performance metrics (open rates, click-throughs, conversion, engagement) to inform future campaigns.
  • Serve as the on-site technology lead at Brand USA events, managing registration systems and troubleshooting Cvent mobile app issues.
  • Support the Senior Director of Event Operations with on-site logistics and operational tasks as needed.
  • Manage on-site badge production, check-in workflows, and attendee data accuracy.
  • Assist with vendor coordination, run-of-show documentation, and communications support during event week.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Design, IT, and Trade teams on shared projects.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to reduce manual work through automation and system improvements.
  • Contribute to post-event debriefs with data, observations, and recommendations.
  • Report to work regularly and be available for occasional after-hours emergency calls and projects.
