About The Position
The Senior Manager, Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) is responsible for providing direction and support for all EH&S activities, including implementation, monitoring, and review of C&W compliance/performance. This position will report to the client site in Cartersville, Georgia.
Requirements
- BA/BS in Safety, Engineering or related sciences preferred
- 7+ years’ experience (or equivalent) in Environmental Health and Safety
- Demonstrable success in Systems Management across multiple accounts/sites
- Subject Matter Expertise in EHS and relevant US Standards
- Well versed in OH&S legislation and regulation
- Well-developed research and report writing skills
- Sound Investigative and Auditing skills supported by formal training

- Safety Certification (CSP or CIH) preferred
Responsibilities
- Create, manage and lead the deployment of C&W’s EH&S programs across the US, to ensure safety is part of day-to-day operations at each site within Project and Development Services
- Effectively communicate C&W’s safety culture and operating philosophies
- Assist in the identification of possible losses; evaluate the risk in such loss exposure; develop and implement a plan to correct or prevent loss; and audit the plan to ensure effectiveness
- Maintain and update as needed SOP’s for all safe work practices and equipment and utilize them in the day-to-day training
- Ensure inspections by regulatory agencies are coordinated and deficiencies minimized and corrected. Coordinate with Project Leads and site management on deficiencies and monthly safety inspections
- Maintain all logs and documentation associated with permits and regulatory requirements
- Review accidents and incidents which occur in the area of responsibility and conduct field audits, report and manage the corrective actions
- Support Workers Compensation (WC) claims tracking, investigation, and management process
- Liaise with WC Program Manager and benefits group on all aspects of injury management and rehabilitation
- Support compliance with all EH&S record keeping requirements, including corporate and regulatory compliance/program documentation, e.g., auditing, training, medical, and OSHA records
- Participate in site inspections and third-party audits to assure/verify regional compliance with Federal, State and local laws and regulations
- Travel to corporate and client offices as required
- Develop, maintain, and ensure the online safety training platform meets industry standards and OSHA requirements
- Collaborate with other service lines and global EH&S to implement programs and initiatives employed across C&W
- Review Policies & Procedures specific to EH&S, as well as support sites in preparation of their manuals for Emergency Procedures and Tenant Emergency Procedures
- Develop standards and processes related to common environmental issues in commercial buildings such as asbestos, fuel oil storage tank management, indoor air quality, mold remediation and water intrusion
- Attend new business presentations to discuss relevant EH&S topics
- Works to achieve performance targets within team with major impact on results
- Works independently on a wide range of moderately complex projects/assignments
