About The Position

SharkNinja’s Internal Audit function provides independent, objective assurance and insight to help protect trust and create, protect, and sustain company value. It facilitates the enterprise risk management program, conducts risk-based business reviews, assesses internal control over financial reporting, and provides timely insights to the business. The Senior Manager, Enterprise Risk will bring dedicated expertise to enterprise risk management, including insurable risk. The role will make total cost of risk visible, connect insurable risk to the enterprise risk picture, and provide management with clear recommendations on retaining and transferring risk. The position facilitates and recommends; Treasury makes decisions and binds coverage. This is a build-focused role, working with agentic AI teammates while retaining responsibility for analysis, judgment, and recommendations. The position is based at SharkNinja’s global headquarters in Needham, Massachusetts, and reports to the VP, Internal Audit (Chief Audit Executive). Success includes identifying and delivering insurance and total-cost-of-risk efficiencies, tracking results with FP&A, reconciling coverage against key retailer agreement requirements, closing or escalating coverage gaps, and delivering a recommendation-ready renewal strategy and captive feasibility recommendation.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of progressive experience in corporate risk and insurance, brokerage, or carrier work, with global program responsibility.
  • Deep expertise in product liability and product recall, with working knowledge of property, cyber, D&O, and marine/cargo lines.
  • Experience with multinational program design, including locally admitted placements and controlled master programs.
  • Strong total cost of risk analytics and financial modeling skills, including retention and limit optimization and loss forecasting.
  • Experience with contract risk transfer, including insurance and indemnification requirements in customer and vendor agreements.
  • Claims strategy and recovery experience, including close partnership with Legal.
  • Broker and carrier management experience, including compensation benchmarking and marketing or RFP processes.
  • Ability to advise rather than decide, and to present management with objective, candid trade-offs.
  • Willingness to disclose current or recent relationships with brokers or carriers.
  • AI fluency or a genuine drive to build it, with curiosity and willingness to work with agentic AI teammates daily.
  • Executive presence and ability to communicate candidly with senior executives, brokers, and business leaders.
  • Builder’s mindset, comfort with ambiguity, and ability to create structure and own outcomes.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in consumer products, retail, or manufacturing.
  • Captive feasibility experience.
  • ARM, CPCU, or RIMS-CRMP certification.
  • Familiarity with COSO ERM or ISO 31000.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the ERM program by bringing insurable risk into the enterprise risk process and mapping product liability and recall, property and supply chain, cyber, D&O, cargo, and international exposures.
  • Identify changes in exposures as the company enters new markets, works with new retailers, or launches new product categories; size the changes and mobilize appropriate owners.
  • Feed coverage gaps and retained exposures into ERM reporting for the Executive Leadership Team and Audit Committee.
  • Build and maintain a total cost of risk view covering premiums, retained losses, broker and carrier fees, and internal program costs.
  • Model risk-financing options, including retention levels, limits, program structure, captive feasibility, and broker compensation, and present recommendations to Treasury.
  • Track value capture with FP&A against an agreed baseline.
  • Facilitate the annual renewal process by setting the calendar, convening Treasury, Legal, Accounting, Operations, and Cybersecurity, quality-checking underwriting data, and working with the broker on marketing strategy.
  • Deliver renewal analysis and recommendations to Treasury; management retains responsibility for decisions and binding coverage.
  • Assess broker and carrier performance and compensation against market benchmarks.
  • Reconcile insurance and indemnification requirements in major retailer and vendor agreements against product liability and recall limits, and bring gaps to Legal and Treasury with proposed ways to address them.
  • Assess the international insurance program, including locally admitted placements across LATAM, EMEA, and APAC.
  • Partner with Legal on product liability claims, providing claims analytics, trends, and recovery opportunities to inform renewals.
  • Work with agentic AI teammates on first drafts of exposure analyses, contract reviews, total cost of risk models, and renewal reporting, while owning judgment and recommendations.
  • Maintain the role’s boundaries: advise and facilitate, but do not instruct the broker, bind coverage, approve invoices, or operate SOX controls.
  • Communicate plainly and early, grounded in business value, and escalate issues to leadership without surprises.
