Our products thrive on constant feedback from our clients. We are looking for an engineering manager to lead one of our small product teams working in Java and focused on member engagement. We are looking for candidates that want to do hands-on product work, lead team growth and mentoring, drive architecture and design decisions, prioritize fast product delivery, and interact with cross functional partners to set roadmap and priorities.

Requirements

  • Experience leading software engineering teams.
  • Experience with cloud providers, AWS preferred.
  • Experience with message-oriented event-driven application architectures.
  • Track record of delivery of software products in complex business models and high transaction environments.
  • Previously built full-stack applications in complex environments.
  • Passionate about people management, mentoring, and team culture.
  • 4-year bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of software and product development experience in an agile environment
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from a variety of both internal and external sources.

Responsibilities

  • Inspire, lead, shape and grow a software engineering team.
  • Oversee the production of high-quality code.
  • Drive software design and architecture.
  • Optimize the engineering process for high speed and high quality.
  • Work with different stakeholders and articulate the short- and long-term consequences of decisions.
  • Develop working relationships with product, engineering, and stakeholders across the RevSpring teams.
  • Troubleshoot, support, and diagnose issues in product operations.
  • Manage time and priorities across multiple initiatives and multiple interacting product teams.
