About The Position

The Sr. Manager, Distribution & Logistics is responsible for leading the day-to-day execution and performance of the company’s distribution network. This role partners closely with distribution providers, internal Supply Chain teams, Operations, Finance, and other cross-functional stakeholders to ensure products are positioned and delivered to restaurants reliably, efficiently, and at the appropriate cost. The Sr. Manager, Distribution & Logistics is a strategic, hands-on procurement leader who combines commercial expertise with a strong service mindset. They use data, market intelligence, and supplier relationships to deliver measurable results while keeping the needs of Wingstop’s restaurants, Brand Partners, and guests at the center of every decision. Reporting to the Director, Distribution & PMO, the Sr. Manager serves as the primary operational leader for distribution and logistics, translating distribution strategy into execution across the network. The role leads distributor performance management, food and ingredient transitions, distribution network initiatives, service recovery, logistics cost management, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Operations, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in distribution, logistics, supply chain, foodservice distribution, restaurant supply chain, or related operations.
  • Prior experience managing third-party distributors or logistics partners strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex operational initiatives across multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management, distribution operations, service metrics, transportation, and cost-to-serve.
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen with the ability to translate data into operational actions.
  • Ability to influence external partners and internal stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and executive presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of Distribution & Logistics professionals, establishing priorities, providing coaching, and building strong analytical and operational capabilities.
  • Lead distributor governance, including business reviews, performance improvement plans, service recovery, and resolution of significant operational issues.
  • Lead freight sourcing and optimization initiatives, including RFPs/RFQs, lane and bid analysis, carrier selection, negotiations, implementation, and ongoing carrier performance management.
  • Evaluate transportation economics and opportunities to optimize landed costs into distribution centers, including delivered versus pickup pricing, freight allowances, lane costs, consolidation, utilization, shipment frequency, and transportation mode.
  • Lead distribution network capacity planning and execution to support the company’s growth trajectory of 250+ new restaurant openings annually, proactively assessing capacity needs and executing new distribution centers, market transitions, distributor conversions, and other network changes to ensure scalable, reliable distribution as the restaurant footprint expands.
  • Drive resolution of distribution and logistics service issues and corrective actions that protect product availability and restaurant service.
  • Identify and lead continuous improvement and network optimization initiatives that improve service, reduce landed cost, increase efficiency, and strengthen distribution and logistics capabilities.
  • Drive corrective action plans with distribution partners to resolve recurring service or operational issues.
  • Lead business continuity and contingency execution for distribution disruptions, capacity constraints, weather events, supply interruptions, or other operational risks.
  • Develop actionable insights from distributor scorecards, inventory analysis, service data, and network performance.
  • Own the distribution inventory management framework, establishing processes, workflows, controls, and escalation protocols to proactively manage inventory health, product availability, excess and aging inventory, and supply risk across all categories and distribution centers.
  • Serve as a key escalation point for distribution-related restaurant and franchisee service issues.
