Position Summary Lead and manage the daily operations of a team of logistics, responsible for creating and implementing best practice logistics vision, strategy processes and procedures to improve operational performance. This Leader must be people first, process driven individual that will thrive in a fast paced environment. Position Description Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. • Provide leadership, direction and inspiration to team members, manage day to day operations by working alongside with line managers and their teams to ensure customer satisfaction, and operational goals are consistently met. • Manage operating metrics while improving processes, procedures, and performance. • Oversee and make recommendations related to personnel needs including appropriate staffing of business unit, coaching, and performance management • Excellent communication, cohesive strategy planning and execution, ensure strategic actions are completed at all levels of the Distribution Center and desired results are achieved. • Ensure appropriate metrics are in place to measure performance and progress towards company objectives. • Partner with Sr. Management team to maximize efficiency and synergy across the organization. • Collaborate with management and HR-Business Partner in compliance with company policies and procedures, • Ensure safety procedures are effectively communicated and adhered.
