The opportunity This is a newly created leadership role designed to strengthen how ICT shows up across the University’s campuses and distributed sites. You will lead Digital Experience and Campus Support, creating a more visible, responsive and people-centred support model that helps local users feel better connected to ICT. Working across metropolitan and regional locations, you will oversee service performance, campus engagement and operational coordination while helping shape a new capability within a transforming ICT function. It is an opportunity to improve day-to-day service, guide a dispersed team, and influence how digital enablement is delivered across a complex university environment.

Requirements

  • A people-focused ICT leader with experience managing operational support, service delivery or digital enablement in a complex environment
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to build trust across diverse campuses, teams and service partners
  • Experience leading dispersed, on-the-ground or multi-site support models, ideally within higher education or another distributed organisation
  • Strong analytical and operational judgement, with the ability to turn service insight into practical improvements
  • A collaborative leader who is comfortable with ambiguity and motivated by the opportunity to build something new

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Digital Experience and Campus Support function, including a team providing visible, face-to-face ICT support across multiple campus locations
  • Build and optimise a service model that balances local presence, operational responsiveness and alignment with broader ICT priorities
  • Partner with stakeholders across campuses to understand local needs, improve service outcomes and act as a senior escalation point
  • Use service feedback, trends and performance insights to inform planning, prioritisation and continuous improvement
  • Develop team capability, coordinate cross-functional support and help shape a new operating model in a changing environment
