The Senior Manager of Demand Planning reports to the Regional Director, Purchasing. Located in Omaha, NE, this is a Full-Time, Hybrid role. The Senior Manager of Demand Planning is responsible for designing and implementing procurement strategies to support the business. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, analyzing market trends, historical data, and customer insights to develop accurate demand forecasts. The Senior Manager will play a critical role in aligning supply chain strategies with demand forecasts, optimizing inventory levels, and contributing to overall business success. This Manager will also play a pivotal part in our ERP implementation of JD Edwards.

Requirements

Must have ERP implementation experience
Ability to motivate and negotiate effectively with key employees, top management, and client groups.
In-depth understanding and interpretation of procedures, company policies, and business practices to achieve general results.
Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and an excellent understanding of market dynamics and consumer behavior.
Ability to work under pressure with meticulous attention to detail.
Possess a problem-solving mindset and adaptability to changing situations.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Effective communication and presentation skills with the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
Possess integrity and ethical character.
Ability to travel when needed.
6 – 8 years of progressive experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain management.
Familiarity with demand planning software and ERP systems.
Team management and leadership experience.
Ability to successfully pass a background check post offer acceptance.

Responsibilities

Lead and oversee procurement functions for the account, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Develop, communicate, and execute sourcing and procurement strategies to support program, corporate, and client objectives.
Continuously monitor and refine forecasting models to enhance accuracy and reliability.
Evaluate forecast performance and make adjustments as necessary to optimize outcomes.
Develop and implement a freight distribution strategy to support the evolving needs of the business.
Ensure efficient and cost-effective transportation solutions to meet customer demand.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors, negotiating contracts and terms to ensure favorable outcomes.
Implement vendor management best practices to drive performance and mitigate risks.
Develop and implement sourcing initiatives to meet procurement goals and objectives.
Monitor progress and ensure timely achievement of milestones.
Minimize liability exposure by ensuring supplier contracts meet legal, statutory, policy, and procedural compliance.
Stay updated on relevant regulations and standards to ensure adherence in procurement activities.
Collaborate with sales, marketing, production, and other relevant departments to gather insights impacting demand.
Effectively communicate demand forecasts and insights to various stakeholders, including senior management.
Present findings, recommendations, and plans for meeting demand requirements.
