About The Position

This role is accountable for shaping and delivering the product strategy, roadmap, and execution governance for SSOT, J&J PHENIX and associated commercial data science and analytics platforms. The role partnerships across Commercial, GCSO, RWE Global Council, Data Science, Technology, and platform teams to convert business priorities into scalable analytics capabilities, measurable portfolio outcomes, and trusted decision-support products.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Business, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 8–12+ years of experience in product management, data platforms, analytics delivery, commercial insights, or enterprise data science products.
  • Demonstrated experience owning product strategy, roadmaps, backlogs, release planning, stakeholder engagement, and value realization for complex analytics or data products.
  • Hands-on familiarity with modern data and analytics platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, AWS, Redshift, S3, Power BI, and related cloud-native data services.
  • Strong understanding of commercial pharma analytics, RWD/RWE, healthcare data, portfolio performance, launch excellence, and KPI-driven decision support.
  • Experience enabling AI/ML, Copilot, conversational analytics, or agentic AI capabilities within governed enterprise frameworks, including responsible AI, privacy & HIPPA compliance, security, and compliance considerations.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional global teams, influence senior stakeholders, resolve delivery blockers, and manage competing priorities across business and technology groups.
  • Expertise in Agile product lifecycle management, delivery governance, quality controls, data governance, and operational readiness for production analytics platforms.
  • Strong ability to translate technical concepts for business leaders and influence cross-functional decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Define and own the product vision, long-term strategy, and measurable business outcomes for SSOT and associated analytics platforms.
  • Translate brand, and commercial priorities into a prioritized product roadmap, backlog, release plan, and adoption roadmap.
  • Partner with GCSO across TAs, Data Science, Technology, and platform leadership to ensure roadmap alignment with business performance objectives and enterprise architecture direction.
  • Maintain a transparent roadmap governance model that balances new capabilities, technical debt, compliance needs, user adoption, and operational excellence.
  • Serve as the interface between business owners including Global Commercial Insights leads across TA, PICs & PM Teams, DSI, RWE Global Council, and technology delivery teams, engineering & platform operations to strengthen the global launch excellence capabilities.
  • Gather, rationalize, and translate business requirements into actionable product features, analytics use cases, acceptance criteria, and adoption plans.
  • Facilitate regular stakeholder engagement, roadmap reviews, prioritization forums, and executive readouts to ensure alignment, transparency, and timely decision-making.
  • Ensure platforms deliver timely, scalable, governed, and reproducible insights that support commercial decision-making and portfolio performance management.
  • Oversee implementation of data pipelines, automation, feature engineering, analytics frameworks, dashboards, and reusable data products.
  • Partnership with Data Science Chapter leads to drive adoption of AI/ML-enabled insights, AI-enabled conversational analytics, and advanced analytics capabilities that improve decision quality and business agility.
  • Enable J&J Agentic Framework adoption for this portfolio by identifying agentic use cases, defining guardrails, aligning workflows to enterprise AI standards, and supporting responsible deployment of autonomous and assisted analytics capabilities.
  • Govern the end-to-end analytics platform ecosystem, including data ingestion, transformation, storage, semantic layers, visualization, and consumption patterns across platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, AWS S3, Redshift, and Power BI.
  • Maintain data quality, lineage, governance, privacy, access controls, and role-based security, including multi-level access models and AD group management.
  • Enable scalable, standardized, and reusable data pipelines across therapeutic areas while supporting interoperability, reliability, and cost-conscious operations.
  • Partner with architecture, cybersecurity, privacy, compliance, and platform teams to ensure solutions are secure, compliant, supportable, and aligned to J&J enterprise standards.
  • Enable actionable insights across disease landscape, patient journey, market trends, share, performance metrics, launch readiness, and product lifecycle performance.
  • Support launch excellence through KPI-driven dashboards, analytics products, and performance monitoring that improve speed, consistency, and decision confidence.
  • Enable consistent and reliable RWE and analytics through centralized, reusable phenotype framework to strengthen the transparency and trust in data-driven decision-making across J&J.
  • Define success metrics and adoption measures that demonstrate business impact, value realization, and continuous improvement across.
  • Lead agile product delivery across backlog prioritization, sprint planning, dependency management, release readiness, change management, and post-release adoption tracking.
  • Ensure timely delivery of enhancements, new features, analytics solutions, and roadmap milestones while managing risks, issues, trade-offs, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, including data scientists, data engineers, analysts, business product owners, platform teams, cybersecurity, privacy, compliance, and operations.
  • Strengthen quality control processes through QC checks, anomaly detection, data validation, automated testing, and production readiness reviews.
  • Serve as the accountable product leader, setting direction, prioritizing outcomes, and ensuring delivery aligns with business value, user needs, and strategic objectives.
  • Lead cross-functional teams across business, data science, engineering, and platform groups to drive clarity, remove blockers, and maintain shared accountability for product success.
  • Provide governance for product decisions, roadmap trade-offs, risks, escalations, and adoption barriers while fostering continuous improvement and measurable business impact.
  • Champion a product mindset that emphasizes customer value, data trust, responsible AI enablement, operational excellence, and scalable enterprise adoption.
