About The Position

We are looking for a Senior Manager of Data Development to join our Global Wealth Management Technology (GWMT) – we develop and modernize technology that powers the Global Wealth Management business lines. GWMT consists of many departments with high-performing agile teams working closely to deliver, support, and maintain the many applications and ecosystems within Global Wealth.

In this role you will help drive strategy to transform current platforms using new technologies and tools available that best support the business needs. You will incorporate modern technologies and practices to improve production support efforts, reduce operational costs, and improve security, availability, and reliability of overall business systems. You will be responsible for the design, architecture, and successful implementation of effective and quality solutions that resolve highly complex business problems and support business needs. You will ensure delivery meets the integrity, quality, performance, and reliability requirements by building automated testing and regression suites and using DevOps principles. You will effectively manage a team of technical professionals by setting performance expectations, monitoring performance, and providing technical guidance and coaching. This includes leading the recruitment of talent and building high-performing teams. You will champion a customer-focused and high-performing culture and contribute to an inclusive work environment. The role requires interaction with business and technology leadership, consequently effective communications commensurate with the audience and the ability to promote an idea and gain consensus is critical.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software development experience with clear progression through the ranks, and 3+ years leading and building high-performance teams
• Experiences in a technical role in an Agile environment
• Proven track record in delivering large-scale multi-year projects/program
• Ability to lead software development teams on tight deadlines
• Ability to communicate effectively with different stakeholders with an open mindset
• Ability to quickly adapt and build a deep technical knowledge of their team’s deliverable and operating model
• Familiar with open-source DevOps tools (Bitbucket/GIT, Jenkins, Artifactory, Gradle, Docker)
• Significant hands-on experience with multiple programming languages and SOLID principles, experience with a wide spectrum of technologies with emphasis on low latency, scalable, fault-tolerant platforms/applications with 24-7 Availability
• Strong communication skills – will be speaking with Stakeholders, Business Partners, Operation Teams, and Developers (translating conversations into requirements)
• Solid understanding of wealth management concepts, and workflows.

• Lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and cost-effective data solutions using GCP services such as BigQuery, Cloud Spanner, and Cloud Storage (GCS).
• Collaborate with enterprise architects and data engineering teams to define cloud-native data strategies aligned with business goals.
• Oversee the design, development, and lifecycle management of scalable RESTful APIs using Spring Boot, ensuring adherence to best practices in security, versioning, and documentation.
• Establish governance frameworks for API standards, including OpenAPI specifications, authentication protocols (OAuth2/JWT), and integration patterns across microservices.
