Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic vision for the data engineering function that aligns with the company's broader objectives. Collaborate with Data Engineering leadership team and subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure the design, development, and maintenance of our Azure-based data warehouse meets and exceeds business needs. Implement and design efficient data solutions while overseeing the development of high performance data pipelines that ensure data quality and integrity. Collaborate with various organizational leaders and stakeholders to deliver precise data solutions that address their unique needs. Guide the optimization of ETL processes and work alongside the data warehousing team to steer our journey toward a more data-driven future. Foster a data-driven culture within the organization and advocate for the use of data and analytics in decision-making across all levels. Lead and mentor a dynamic data engineering team, promoting a culture of continuous innovation and providing opportunities for professional development. Oversee the development and implementation of data governance and privacy policies, ensuring compliance with industry standards and legal requirements. Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in data engineering and introduce cutting-edge innovations into our practices. Articulate our data strategy to stakeholders and senior management and dive into the heart of data challenges to resolve them efficiently. Telecommuting is permitted anywhere within the U.S.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Information Technology and Management, or closely related field.
  • 6 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
  • Experience with data integration using ETL tools such as SSIS, DataFactory.
  • Experience with at least one non SQL-based programming language such as C#, Java, Python, or Javascript.
  • Experience of DataFactory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Stored Procedures, ETL and Loading large amount of data.
  • QA test experience with DW/relational database including designing, creating and executing complex SQL queries.
  • Experience in Kimbel Data warehousing concept.
