About The Position

This role is responsible for leveraging data analytics to drive business value and insights. The Senior Manager will oversee data strategy, quality management, and exploratory data analysis, translating complex business problems into data-driven solutions. They will also be responsible for data visualization, communicating insights effectively to stakeholders, and mentoring junior associates. The position requires a deep understanding of various data domains, analytical techniques, and visualization tools, as well as the ability to build compelling business cases and drive execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Arts, Finance or related field and 4 years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field.
  • OR Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 2 years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field.
  • OR 6 years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field.
  • 1 year's supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of Functional business domain and scenarios.
  • Knowledge of categories of data and where it is held.
  • Knowledge of Business data requirements.
  • Knowledge of Database technologies and distributed datastores (e.g., SQL, NoSQL).
  • Knowledge of Data Quality.
  • Knowledge of existing business systems and processes, including key drivers and measures of success.
  • Knowledge of Analytics, big data analytics, automation techniques and methods.
  • Knowledge of Business understanding, precedence, and use cases.

Responsibilities

  • Identify data sources, perform initial data quality checks, and ensure data is fit for purpose.
  • Translate business problems into data-related or mathematical solutions using appropriate methods and tools.
  • Generate graphical representations of data and model outcomes using various visualization tools and techniques.
  • Build compelling stories based on context to integrate information into cohesive insights and present to stakeholders.
  • Understand and apply principles of data strategy to business problems, considering the data ecosystem.
  • Promote and educate others on data quality awareness, governance processes, practices, policies, and guidelines.
  • Profile, analyze, and assess data quality, test data quality requirements, and manage data quality issues.
  • Interpret company and regulatory policies on data, including privacy, security, storage, retention, and documentation.
  • Evaluate proposed business cases for projects and initiatives, translating business requirements into strategies.
  • Build and articulate the business case and return on investment, delivering work with demonstrable value.
  • Collect and tabulate data, evaluate results for accuracy, validity, and applicability.
  • Apply suitable statistical techniques and assist in planning, designing, and implementing exploratory data analysis research projects.
  • Conduct statistical analysis and build basic statistical models using relevant packages/software suites.
  • Drive the execution of business plans and projects by identifying needs, developing plans, removing barriers, and measuring progress.
