About The Position
The Senior Manager, Enterprise Strategy, leads the development and execution of strategic initiatives that drive Walmart’s financial and business objectives. This role involves analyzing complex data, assessing market trends, and collaborating across functions to deliver actionable insights and innovative solutions. The position requires critical thinking to evaluate risks and opportunities, guiding decision-making processes that align with organizational goals. About the team: The Enterprise Strategy team leads enterprise-wide initiatives that drive Walmart’s future growth by addressing complex challenges with strategic planning and data-driven insights. This team collaborates closely with senior leadership to develop actionable recommendations and execute critical priorities. Members apply financial analysis and structured problem-solving to influence decisions and deliver measurable results. Operating in a dynamic environment, the team fosters cross-functional partnerships and maintains a strong focus on ownership and accountability. Their work ensures alignment with Walmart’s overall strategy while continuously seeking opportunities to enhance business performance and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in corporate strategy, management consulting, or related roles within complex, fast-paced environments.
- Proven ability to lead and structure ambiguous, high-impact problems, translating insights into actionable strategies.
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling and scenario planning to evaluate strategic trade-offs and inform executive decisions.
- Experience synthesizing inputs, including data, competitive dynamics, and internal perspectives, into compelling, executive-ready narratives.
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive alignment across cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization.
- Track record of owning and delivering large-scale, end-to-end initiatives with measurable impact.
- Strong business judgment and strategic thinking, with an ability to connect external trends and disruptions to enterprise priorities.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related area and 5 years’ experience in consulting, corporate strategy, business development, or related area OR 7 years’ experience in consulting, corporate strategy, business development, or related area.

Responsibilities
- Lead the development of high-impact, enterprise-wide strategic initiatives, translating complex problems into clear, actionable plans driving business outcomes.
- Structure and solve ambiguous business challenges by synthesizing data, financial analysis, and strategic frameworks into recommendations.
- Partner closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to align on priorities, inform key decisions, and ensure successful execution of critical initiatives.
- Develop robust financial models and scenario analyses to evaluate strategic options, trade-offs, and long-term value creation.
- Identify and assess external disruptions, emerging trends, and competitive dynamics to inform strategies and accelerate growth.
- Drive end-to-end ownership of strategic projects, including defining scope, managing timelines, and delivering measurable impact at scale.
