Navan is growing quickly, with the leading technology platform across Travel and Expense management. With nearly $1B in cash raised in our IPO last year and a business that’s now free cash flow positive, we have a long list of opportunities to roll up traditional players, acquire new technologies, and expand regional coverage. Within Navan, Corporate Development is a small, nimble, “SEAL Team Six” at the center of driving and executing our M&A strategy. Outside of M&A, we are often brought in on the most complex issues the company faces because we bring a structured, analytical approach to how best to proceed and deploy our resources. The ideal candidate is excited to work with a variety of internal and external teams to tackle Navan’s trickiest and most interesting problems. Who You Are: You’re an owner with a strong bias for action. You own the work you’re driving, end to end. You like to dive into details and ensure things run smoothly. Your true north is shaping our category by adding value for our customers; if you’re thrilled at the prospect of doing this, this role will be a great fit for you! You are super analytical, structured, and can break down complex problems into simple components. You are a black belt in Excel/Google Sheets, but are equally comfortable laying things out on the whiteboard or in slides. You have exceptional communication skills, business judgment, and the ability to tell compelling data-driven stories to senior leaders, including our C-suite and Board. You gravitate toward people and enjoy working in a highly cross-functional role. You can help engineering resolve a technical question in the morning, work with FP&A on a model in the afternoon, and negotiate a deal structure in the evening. You are very comfortable either modeling and structuring complex deals or driving cross-functional integration efforts after closing. A spike in at least one of these is preferred, while the other can be developed on the job.
