About The Position

This is a key Controllership leadership role responsible for the Global Consolidation process, requiring leadership, coordination, and informal influencing of senior Finance professionals globally. The role involves preparing and analyzing Corporate reports for Senior Finance Leadership (including CFO and VPs of IR, Corp FP&A, Corporate Controllership), the Management Committee, and other financial users. Responsibilities include summarizing Global financial results, analysis, and KPIs, administering and overseeing the Global corporate-wide reporting and consolidation system (HFM) for actuals, budgets, and forecasts, and ensuring consistent application of US GAAP, including complex technical accounting issues such as currency translation, consolidation, income tax, derivative/hedge accounting, and joint venture accounting.

Requirements

  • BS/BA in Accounting
  • 10+ years of finance experience
  • Minimum of 5+ years of senior-level accounting experience
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate complex accounting/finance processes and related analytics
  • Ability to influence and interact effectively with all levels and areas of the organization
  • Excellent communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the Global Consolidation process across all regions and segments, including problem-solving consolidation or reporting issues with senior finance leaders in Corporate functions and Regional teams.
  • Prepare, analyze, and present Corporate Global Financial results and insights to Senior Leadership, summarizing significant data sets/analytics into the relevant level of detail for various audiences, focusing on generating actionable insights.
  • Direct and oversee all activities related to the Hyperion Financial Management consolidation and reporting system and related controls (including budgets, forecasts, legal entity structures, financial restatement processes, management reporting requirements).
  • Support ad hoc projects and requests from departments such as Investor Relations (IR), Tax, Treasury, Corporate FP&A, HR, and Audit.
  • Develop staff and build a successful team through active coaching, management of goals & objectives, aligning individual and organizational development needs, effective resource deployment, identifying development opportunities, executing talent review processes, identifying future talent and capability needs, and prioritizing talent for leadership programs.
  • Drive improvements in systems, processes, and analytics, leading and coordinating initiatives that benefit both Corporate functions and regional partners.
  • Oversee and coordinate accounting for complex accounting topics, including derivatives, foreign exchange translation, intercompany eliminations, non-operating expenses, special charge accounting, and joint venture accounting.
