About The Position

The Senior Manager, Close and Consolidation, leads the preparation and analysis of financial reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. This role oversees financial reporting, global close, financial controls, and balance sheet reconciliations while collaborating with internal and external partners. The position drives business plan execution by identifying business needs and performance metrics, fostering team development through coaching, and promoting adherence to company policies and ethical standards. This role requires a strong understanding of consolidation systems, data, and process design that support accurate reporting. The role requires strategic insight and commitment to delivering accurate financial information supporting organizational objectives. The Close and Consolidation team leads the consolidation and reporting of global financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. This team drives financial reporting, risk mitigation, and internal controls to support strategic business objectives. Members collaborate across departments to enhance operational processes and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The team fosters continuous improvement, upholds integrity, and delivers insightful financial analysis to guide decision-making while supporting the systems and data dependencies required for an effective consolidation environment.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
  • Experience supporting close, consolidation, and reporting activities in a controlled environment.
  • A strong systems mindset, including the ability to understand how consolidation platforms support accounting processes, controls, and reporting outcomes.
  • Proficiency with Oracle Essbase and SAP General Ledger systems or similar financial platforms.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in mentoring, coaching, and developing high-performing teams.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across Finance, Tech, and other cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field and 4 years’ experience in finance, accounting, or related area OR 6 years’ experience in finance, accounting, or related area.
  • 1 year’s supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

  • Ensure adherence to reporting policies, Sarbanes-Oxley Act requirements, and government filing obligations.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to validate financial documentation and maintain compliance.
  • Support and help improve the consolidation system environment through issue triage, validation, testing support, reconciliation, and process improvement.
  • Apply understanding of consolidation system logic and dependencies to strengthen close activities, reporting reliability, and automation opportunities.
