About The Position

The Senior Manager, Compliance Policies, Training & Communication leads the development and implementation of enterprise-wide compliance policies and training programs in a global, regulated MedTech environment. This senior role has broad global scope and accountability, ensuring that all employees worldwide are engaged and informed about compliance obligations. The Senior Manager will spearhead governance of global compliance policies, oversee a comprehensive compliance training curriculum for all employees, design risk-based targeted training for high-risk Compliance areas, develop onboarding programs for new Healthcare Compliance Officers (HCCOs), and drive effective compliance communications and change management initiatives. This individual will manage at least one direct report and provide leadership to third-party vendors, consultants, and freelance resources supporting policy management, training content development, and communications delivery. The ideal candidate combines deep expertise in healthcare compliance with strategic leadership, cross-functional collaboration skills, and the ability to foster a culture of integrity across a dynamic and complex global organization. This leader plays a critical role in strengthening the company’s compliance program and embedding a culture of integrity across the global organization. We seek a dynamic leader who can combine subject-matter expertise in healthcare compliance with strategic vision and excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively protect the organization’s reputation and support business success. This role reports to the Senior Director HCC Risk Mgmt Strategy & Enablement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Compliance, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in healthcare compliance or related fields (e.g., legal, risk management, regulatory, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare compliance laws, regulations, and enforcement practices.
  • Experience developing and implementing compliance policies or training programs at a multi-national or large matrixed organization
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex compliance topics clearly.
  • Fluency in English required.

  • Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., Compliance, Legal, Risk, or Ethics‑related).
  • Experience in medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or broader life sciences industries.
  • Experience managing third-party vendors and external partners, with the ability to set clear expectations, monitor performance, and ensure quality outcomes.

  • Proven project/program management skills, capable of managing multiple complex initiatives and meeting deadlines across global time zones.
  • Detail-oriented and able to design structured processes for policy governance, training rollout, and communication campaigns, ensuring consistent execution and alignment.
  • Strong analytical skills, sound judgment, and effective decision‑making and problem‑solving capabilities.

  • Compliance, legal, or ethics certifications preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the creation, maintenance, and governance of global healthcare compliance policies and related procedures.
  • Establish and oversee a robust policy lifecycle management process – from policy development and approval to periodic review, revision, and retirement – ensuring policies remain up to date with evolving laws, regulations, and industry codes (e.g., anti-bribery/anti-corruption laws, AdvaMed/MedTech industry codes, data privacy regulations).
  • Partner with legal, regulatory, and compliance teams to implement policies globally with consistency while accommodating local requirements.
  • Design and execute an Annual Global Compliance Awareness Training program for all employees across all regions. Ensure this mandatory yearly training is engaging, accessible in multiple languages, and effectively communicates the company’s Code of Conduct and key compliance principles.
  • Implement a risk-based approach to targeted compliance training by developing specialized learning for high-risk roles, business units, or geographies, tailoring content to address specific compliance risks and regulatory requirements. Continuously assess training effectiveness (e.g., completion rates, knowledge retention) and refine content or delivery methods to strengthen impact.
  • Develop and manage a comprehensive onboarding training program for new Health Care Compliance Officers (HCCOs) joining the organization. Ensure that newly appointed HCC professionals receive a thorough orientation to the company’s global compliance framework, policies, standards, and tools, so they can effectively support business operations from day one.
  • Drive global compliance communications to create awareness and promote a strong culture of integrity and compliance. Develop and deliver clear, engaging internal communications (e.g., compliance newsletters, intranet updates, leadership messages, awareness campaigns) to reinforce key compliance policies and updates and encourage ethical behaviors across all levels of the organization.
  • Manage and coach direct report, setting clear objectives and fostering professional development.
  • Oversee third-party vendors and consultants involved in policy development, e-learning content creation, or communications, providing direction and quality control to ensure timely, cost-effective, high-quality deliverables.
