As a Senior Manager, Commercial Strategy & Operations at Abeona Therapeutics, your day-to-day activities will focus on The Commercial Strategy & Operations Manager supports the development and execution of the organization's commercial strategy and operating model, partnering closely with Commercial, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Finance, and Executive Leadership to optimize processes, analyze business performance, and ensure readiness for product launches and ongoing commercialization activities. In a fast-paced biotech environment, the Commercial Strategy & Operations Manager serves as a key business partner and hands-on operator, providing strategic insights, managing cross-functional initiatives, and implementing scalable processes that support the company's commercial objectives. Your expertise will directly impact the quality and reliability of our therapeutic solutions, all while upholding our commitment to putting patients first. This position enables you to contribute meaningfully to the advancement of gene-based therapy solutions in a compliance-focused environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Life Sciences, Marketing, Finance, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in Commercial Operations, Strategy, Sales Operations, Program/Project Management, Consulting, or related roles within biotech, pharmaceutical, or life sciences organizations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a result-driven style of work.
  • Excellent project management, organizational and planning skills and tools.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with CRM systems and business intelligence tools preferred.
  • Ability to synthesize complex information into clear actionable recommendations and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to hold self and others accountable for commitments in a productive, assertive manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical and biotechnology commercialization processes, including market access, forecasting, and launch readiness activities.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred.
  • Experience supporting product launches and commercialization activities preferred.
  • Experience in a small or emerging biotech environment is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategy and operations support for key business initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and timelines.
  • Monitor initiative status, identify gaps or roadblocks, and recommend actions to maintain momentum and accountability.
  • Support product planning and commercialization activities for ZEVASKYN, including brand planning, budgeting, forecasting, and congress planning.
  • Develop and maintain commercial dashboards, KPIs, and reporting to measure business performance, including defining metrics, reporting cadence, and performance standards.
  • Prepare regular operating reviews, leadership updates, and ad-hoc analyses to support strategic discussions.
  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional commercial projects, ensuring milestones and deliverables are met.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process documentation across the Commercial organization.
  • Manage cross-functional Commercial Leadership Team and ZEVASKYN Team meetings and prepare presentations for executive leadership discussions.
  • Drive CRM creation, optimization, and data governance initiatives.
  • Ensure Compliance & Regulatory oversight as the coordinator for the Medical/Legal/Regulatory (MLR) review process, guaranteeing all promotional materials are compliant with FDA, OIG, and internal policies.
  • Promote consistent messaging, accountability, and a high-performance culture across the commercial team including external agencies/partners.
  • Create concise narratives that connect analytics, business context, and recommended next steps.
  • Problem solves issues as they arise; push team on opportunities to balance speed with quality
