About The Position

The Senior Manager of Collections Strategy & Analytics provides senior-level leadership for collections strategy design, portfolio performance analysis, and analytical governance. This role is accountable for portfolio-level outcomes, establishes governance and quality standards, and ensures collection strategies align with credit risk objectives, operational capacity, customer treatment expectations, and financial goals. Beyond team leadership, the Senior Manager drives strategy development, test prioritization, and investment decisions by evaluating financial tradeoffs, assessing impacts to portfolio performance and operating costs, and incorporating forecasting considerations into decision-making. The role partners with cross-functional stakeholders to align priorities, support strategic initiatives, and deliver insights that drive business performance and operational effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Operations and Advanced Analytics to set the strategic direction, prioritization, and optimization of collection strategies across delinquent portfolios.
  • Evaluate performance drivers and treatment tradeoffs, translating insights into recommendations that improve portfolio performance and support enterprise objectives.
  • Lead the governance, measurement, and evaluation of collection strategies across delinquent portfolios.
  • Establish analytical standards, assess strategy and test performance, quantify impacts to key business metrics, and partner cross functionally to deliver financially sound, operationally scalable recommendations for leadership decision making.
  • Lead and develop a team of Analysts and Lead Analysts through coaching, succession planning, and performance management.
  • Establish operating routines that drive accountability, quality, engagement, and scalable team performance.
  • Communicate strategy performance, analytical insights, and recommendations to senior and executive leaders.
  • Influence decisions through clear storytelling, sound judgment, and effective communication of business outcomes, risks, and tradeoffs.
