About The Position

The Technology organization at Hightower plays a critical role in enabling growth, innovation, and operational excellence across the firm. As Senior Manager, Cloud Engineering, you will lead the strategy, architecture, and operational management of Hightower's cloud platforms and services. This role is responsible for building and advancing a secure, scalable, and resilient cloud ecosystem that supports enterprise applications, advisor-facing platforms, and business operations. You will partner closely with Infrastructure, Security, Application Development, Data, and Business teams to drive cloud transformation initiatives, modernize infrastructure, and establish best practices across the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of infrastructure or cloud engineering experience.
  • 3+ years of experience leading technical teams.
  • Deep expertise with Microsoft Azure services.
  • Experience with Terraform, Bicep, or similar IaC tools.
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, DevOps, and CI/CD practices.
  • Strong cloud security, governance, and identity management expertise.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • You are a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident or possess other unrestricted U.S. work authorization and will not require sponsorship for U.S. work authorization now or anytime in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of cloud infrastructure, primarily within Microsoft Azure.
  • Define and execute cloud strategy, roadmaps, and architectural standards.
  • Manage and mentor cloud engineers while fostering a culture of innovation.
  • Establish cloud governance, security controls, and compliance standards.
  • Drive automation through Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD practices.
  • Lead cloud migration and modernization initiatives.
  • Develop disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
  • Partner with business and technology stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions.
