About The Position

Overview: Reporting to the Head of Experiential Marketing and working closely with the Brand Team, Advertising & Sponsorship leadership, Line of Business Marketing Managers, Public Relations, and Sales Client Engagement is responsible for the strategy, execution, governance, and measurement of premium client events and strategic engagements for M&T and Wilmington Trust, aligned with M&T Bank Brand standards. This role supports brand growth, relationship development, and business objectives through high-touch, compliant, and consistently executed client experiences. The position partners closely with Marketing, Sponsorships, PR, Compliance, CRM, and business-line leaders, and serves as a central point of contact for defining and executing all Wilmington Trust premium events. Primary Responsibilities: Design and execute client engagement strategies aligned to brand, philanthropy, and growth priorities Own planning, coordination, execution, and reporting for a portfolio of premium client events Develop and deliver high-touch engagement programs for priority clients, partners, and industry stakeholders Ensure consistent brand standards, messaging, compliance, and execution across regions and divisions Partner with Sponsorship and Experiential teams on Tier 1 events and large-scale partnership activations Project manage integrated event activations including content, PR, branding, and pre/post-event communications Align Wilmington Trust event processes with bank-wide standards, tools, and reporting Maintain event data, calendars, budgets, timelines, invite lists, and performance reporting Evaluate program effectiveness, identify best practices, and recommend improvements Collaborate with sales and marketing teams on targeting, invitations, collateral, and post-event follow-up Complete other related duties as assigned. Scope & Collaboration: Supports a holistic, regionalized client engagement program across Wilmington Trust and M&T Commercial Bank Works cross-functionally with Marketing, Finance, Compliance, Sponsorships, and regional leadership Engages regularly with senior executives and high-profile external partners

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 7 years of experience in premium events, client engagement, or consultative sales within a regulated or professional services environment (Or in Lieu of a degree, a combination of 11 years of higher education and relevant experience)
  • 2 years managerial experience
  • Strong strategic mindset with exceptional execution and project management skills
  • Polished communicator, comfortable engaging senior executives and high-net-worth clients
  • Deep knowledge of NYC cultural institutions, dining, wine, and curated experiences
  • Sophisticated taste level and strong relationship-building skills
  • NYC-based
