Senior Manager, Client Delivery

Strategic Growth Partners

About The Position

Strategic Growth Partners (SGP) is seeking a highly qualified Senior Manager, Client Delivery who will own the client relationships, opportunity architecture, and production pipeline for the Non-Traditional BD division. The role holds the account book, the standard of the work, and direction of the resources that produce it. Delivery is the growth engine. Everyday client work surfaces the signal that becomes pipeline, so this role sits deliberately at the intersection of the two, running the accounts, converting what those accounts surface into structured opportunities, and directing the production capacity that turns outlines into finished deliverables. This is a judgment and direction role, not a production role. The Senior Manager sets the standard, architects the response, and directs the resources doing the building. Leadership retains final review and close; everything upstream belongs here.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience leading client relationships in government contracting.
  • Working knowledge of federal, state, and local procurement, including opportunity qualification and response development.
  • Proven ability to structure and architect written responses, use cases, and technical narratives.
  • Experience directing writers, analysts, and/or contract resources toward a defined quality standard.
  • Strong written communication; able to set the bar for client- and government-facing deliverables.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in non-traditional or emerging-technology business development.
  • Familiarity with distributed or offshore production support models.
  • Existing relationships within defense or federal civilian agencies.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as named account lead and primary client contact for an assigned book of accounts.
  • Run recurring client calls, set agendas, and own the relationship health of each account.
  • Ensure client updates and status reporting are delivered on schedule and to standard.
  • Keep client knowledge documented and transferable rather than personally held.
  • Own use-case architecture across all division accounts, including those led by others.
  • Convert qualified, shredded opportunities into structured outlines and response approaches.
  • Make the pursue / no-pursue recommendation and define the shape of each response.
  • Act as the quality bar: approve structure before production begins.
  • Direct the day-to-day work product of the production analyst, technical writers, and assigned 1099 contractors supporting the division.
  • Assign scopes, deliverables, and deadlines; review output against standard and return work for revision as needed.
  • Own the intake-to-delivery pipeline: shred review, architecture, drafting, packaging, and hand-off to final review.
  • Maintain the templates and format standards that keep production consistent across every account.
  • Monitor contractor utilization against approved scopes and budgets, and flag variances to the President.
  • Direct assigned contractors on work product, standards, and deliverable timing, contractors retain control over their own methods, schedules, and manner of performance.
  • Partner with the defense and civilian BD leads to qualify sourced opportunities.
  • Hold accountability for pipeline movement from sourcing through packaged response.
  • Support federal, state, and local pursuits across the division's client base.
  • Partner with the President on final review and close of client deliverables and pursuits.
  • Ensure every account operates on the division's standard process, coverage matrix, and RACI.
  • Maintain documented processes and named backup coverage so no account depends on one individual.
