About The Position

As a Senior Manager, Client Delivery, you’ll lead a team of technical professionals responsible for delivering high-quality R&D tax credit claims for companies across Canada and the U.S. You’ll combine people leadership, strategic client advisory, and operational oversight to ensure your team and portfolio consistently deliver strong outcomes. This is a senior, highly visible role with meaningful ownership across team performance, client relationships, claim quality, revenue, renewals, and portfolio profitability. You’ll help clients navigate complex claim strategies and audits while coaching your team, allocating resources, resolving delivery challenges, and creating an environment where people can do their best work. You’ll also help shape how Boast’s Client Delivery function grows. Working closely with Product, Sales, Pre-Sales, Finance, and senior leadership, you’ll identify opportunities to strengthen delivery processes, improve the Boast platform, expand client value, and scale a more effective technology-enabled service. This role is ideal for an experienced R&D tax credit leader who enjoys balancing people, clients, commercial priorities, complex delivery work, and wants the opportunity to influence both immediate results and the future of the function.

Requirements

  • Professional fluency in French and English is required.
  • 7+ years of practitioner experience with deep domain knowledge in one or more R&D tax credit or government incentive programs.
  • 4+ years of experience working within STEM industries.
  • 4+ years of management experience in tax credits, grant funding, government incentives, or a similar client advisory environment.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing teams, managing performance, and creating clear development opportunities for others.
  • A strong track record of managing complex client portfolios and delivering concurrent claims successfully.
  • Experience representing and supporting clients through audits or government reviews, with strong knowledge of claim strategy, compliance, documentation, and delivery risk.
  • Strong commercial judgment, including experience supporting client growth, renewals, account health, profitability, or business development.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-management skills, including the ability to lead workshops and communicate complex information to technical teams, executives, and other stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as JIRA, Asana, GitHub, ClickUp, Linear, or Notion; accounting systems such as QuickBooks, FreshBooks, or Oracle NetSuite; and payroll systems such as Ceridian or Wagepoint.
  • The organizational judgment and resilience needed to manage competing priorities, resolve complex problems, and meet multiple deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
  • A collaborative, improvement-oriented approach and the ability to lead or contribute as the situation requires.
  • Ability to travel occasionally for client meetings, conferences, or team collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of technical Client Delivery professionals, supporting hiring and onboarding, setting clear expectations, and providing timely, actionable feedback that strengthens performance, growth, and career development.
  • Manage a portfolio of client accounts with ownership of successful claim delivery, client satisfaction, engagement, revenue, renewals, collections support, profitability, and long-term account health.
  • Allocate team resources across concurrent engagements, balancing capacity, expertise, timelines, budgets, delivery risks, and client priorities.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients by guiding annual claim strategy, developing effective work plans, and identifying opportunities to create additional value through relevant credits and incentive programs.
  • Oversee the planning and delivery of complex claims, ensuring technical and financial work meets Boast’s quality standards and produces accurate, timely, and defensible outcomes.
  • Lead clients and delivery teams through audits and government reviews, including defence strategy, documentation preparation, government communications, and interview support.
  • Conduct quality reviews, identify trends or areas of concern, and use those insights to improve team performance, documentation practices, and delivery consistency.
  • Serve as a subject-matter leader for one or more service lines, staying current on government policies, program requirements, industry developments, and evolving client needs.
  • Build trusted client relationships through proactive communication, strong business judgment, effective workshop facilitation, and confidence navigating challenging conversations.
  • Champion continuous improvement and adoption of the Boast platform, working with Product to translate client and team feedback into stronger processes, efficiencies, and product capabilities.
  • Partner with Sales and Pre-Sales on claim strategy, opportunity assessment, estimates, product demonstrations, RFP responses, and other business-development activities.
  • Contribute to the continued growth of the Client Delivery function by developing internal capabilities, mentoring future leaders, and helping implement cross-functional initiatives.
