About The Position

This role is responsible for managing North America HP Solutions (HPS) Services category management operations while driving profitable revenue growth for the organization. The role designs strategies and manages execution leveraging market analysis and subject matter expertise to stay ahead of the competition. The role identifies and implements process improvement initiatives and undertakes talent management.

Requirements

  • Four-year or Graduate Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
  • Typically has 10+ years of job-related experience or 8-10 years of management experience, preferably in category management, P&L management, or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Manages activities of individual contributors and/or managers and directs the overall category management operations to achieve business objectives set by the senior management.
  • Collaborates closely with other departments such as sales, marketing, product/service development, supply chain, and finance to ensure alignment and coordination of efforts related to the category's success.
  • Analyzes sales data, trends, and metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of sales strategies and identify areas for improvement.
  • Shapes sales approaches and strategies from the insights derived from the market analysis to identify emerging trends, competitive intelligence, and customer preferences.
  • Applies expert subject matter knowledge, shapes knowledge base across businesses, functions, or regions, and provides strong leadership, driving change initiatives and monitoring performance goals.
  • Performs talent management responsibilities including recruitment, performance management, coaching, and career development.
