About The Position

This role is for a Senior Manager – Manufacturing PMO (North America) based in Calgary, AB or Centennial, CO. The position involves leading high-impact capital projects that directly influence the future of manufacturing across North America. This is not a traditional PMO role; it requires leading a multi-year capital portfolio across critical manufacturing assets, influencing up to $50M+ investment programs in complex, high-hazard environments. The role involves partnering with executive leaders, site teams, and global stakeholders, leading teams across Carseland, AB and Winnemucca, NV, and driving project excellence, governance, and operational readiness at scale. The Senior Manager will translate strategy into execution by ensuring projects are safe, well-governed, and deliver real business value.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in capital project delivery, portfolio governance, or PMO leadership.
• Background in chemical manufacturing, mining, energy, or heavy industry.
• Proven ability to manage brownfield projects within operating plants.
• Deep expertise in project controls (cost, schedule, risk, change).
• Strong understanding of process safety, regulatory compliance, and SHES standards.
• Commercial acumen in contractor and vendor management.
• Ability to influence without authority across diverse stakeholders.
• Comfortable engaging from site floor to executive level.
• Strategic thinker who translates complexity into clear, actionable decisions.

Responsibilities

• Own and lead the North American manufacturing capital portfolio.
• Ensure strong alignment between investment priorities, site strategies, and execution plans.
• Drive stage-gate governance and decision-making discipline.
• Oversee delivery across the full lifecycle: concept → execution → commissioning → handover.
• Ensure best-in-class project controls (cost, schedule, risk, change).
• Intervene early to address risks and underperformance.
• Work directly with site leaders and asset owners to define project success.
• Balance operational constraints with growth and compliance requirements.
• Integrate projects seamlessly into live plant environments.
• Elevate PMO maturity across the region through tools, coaching, and standards.
• Strengthen contractor performance and commercial outcomes.
• Embed lessons learned and continuous improvement practices.
