About The Position

As a Senior Manager, Capital Planning, Research and Portfolio Analytics, you’ll coordinate annual capital planning activities, ensuring alignment with the investment pipeline and strategic objectives of the Real Estate Group. You will provide input into capital allocation decisions and monitor execution against approved plans. You will gather and analyze research and data covering macroeconomic conditions, deal-specific dynamics, and benchmarks to inform strategic decision making. You will lead benchmarking and performance analysis against industry standards and peer groups. You will provide comprehensive quarterly updates and in-depth analytics on leverage positions, including covenant testing, scenario analysis, and risk assessment. You will act as the principal liaison with key business partners — proactively managing relationships, addressing inbound requests, and ensuring effective communication with Real Estate leadership. You will collaborate with the CIO office on capital allocation and benchmarking initiatives. You will partner with Risk to support scenario planning and risk analysis, and with Performance to analyze trends and benchmark portfolio results. You will work closely with the Sustainability team to ensure ESG data integrity and deliver climate-related reporting. You will prepare and deliver summaries of investment committee discussions and decisions, ensuring key outcomes and action items are clearly documented and communicated to relevant stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in finance or accounting or related field (e.g., MBA, MSc) and/or professional designation (e.g., CFA, CAIA)
  • Eight (8)+ years of experience in portfolio risk management, investment team, portfolio management, or a relevant analytical role
  • Strong understanding of global real estate markets and capital allocation frameworks in private markets
  • Advanced financial modelling and scenario analysis skills, combined with strategic thinking and sound judgment
  • Ability to communicate effectively at different levels of seniority and synthesize complex analysis into decision-ready insights for senior audiences
  • Attention to detail with strong execution discipline
  • Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and BI/visualization tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau)
  • Bilingualism English and French (frequent interactions in English with PSP employees based in our offices in Hong Kong, London and New York, and interactions in French with employees in our local offices in Montreal and Ottawa)
