About The Position

Bristol Myers Squibb Company is hiring a(n) Senior Manager, Business Development Analytics. This role serves as the key point-of-contact for the execution and delivery of best-in-class business development (“BD”) analytics and commercial assessment of potential assets, programs, markets, and collaborations being considered in each assigned franchise. The position partners with stakeholders in the strategic framing, due diligence, and fit-for-purpose analytics for data-driven investment decisions. The role involves generating, presenting, defending, and maintaining forecasts of opportunities and markets, and providing disease-area and portfolio-related context to help teams understand how decisions will be perceived by senior management and BD review committees. The Senior Manager will assess relevant marketplaces, customers, competitors, and future development trends, providing an unbiased point-of-view on the performance and future potential of markets, brands, and pipeline assets, supported by facts and evidence. This role also involves developing and delivering presentations that synthesize disparate data such as market research and secondary data, and collaborating with business counterparts to plan and execute accurate analytics in support of diligence workstreams. The position helps BD-focused teams make informed strategic decisions and choices through the clear development and articulation of various opportunities during due-diligence, and maintains data integrity and consistency within disease areas and the BD analytics group. Supporting leadership in the assessment of financial implications of business development opportunities is also a key responsibility. Telecommuting is permitted up to 2 days per week.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field, and five (5) years of progressive post-baccalaureate work experience as a Business Intelligence Analyst or related occupation.
  • Alternatively, a master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field, and three (3) years of related work experience as a Business Intelligence Analyst or related occupation.
  • Two (2) years of experience in developing and maintaining revenue, volume, or patient forecasts using advanced Excel or forecasting platforms.
  • Two (2) years of experience in applying epidemiological models, analog launch data, and uptake curve methodologies relevant to pharmaceutical assets.
  • Two (2) years of experience in integrating secondary market data (IQVIA, DRG, EP), primary research, clinical trial results, and competitive intelligence to inform key forecast assumptions.
  • Two (2) years of experience in performing sensitivity, scenario, and Monte Carlo analyses to validate and pressure-test forecasts, delivering risk-adjusted insights to stakeholders.
  • Two (2) years of experience in presenting and defending forecast methodologies, assumptions, and results to BD committees and senior leadership with clear visualizations and documentation.
  • Two (2) years of experience in conducting competitive landscape analysis and brand mapping for key therapeutic areas.
  • Two (2) years of experience in synthesizing market research and clinical data to develop differentiated asset value propositions.
  • Three (3) years of experience in providing advanced analytics for asset evaluation and market opportunity assessment.
  • Three (3) years of experience in designing, building, and validating forecasting models for pipeline and inline assets.
  • Three (3) years of experience in synthesizing and interpreting complex data sets for strategic investment decisions.
