Senior Manager/Associate Director Transformation Management Office (m/f/x) - Midwest US
About The Position
Mutares SE & Co. KGaA, Munich (www.mutares.com), as a listed private equity holding company, acquires medium-sized companies in special situations, which show significant operational improvement potential and are sold again after undergoing a repositioning and stabilization process. Mutares actively support its portfolio companies with its own investment and operations teams and through strategic add-on acquisitions. The focus is on companies with revenues ranging from USD 120 million to USD 850 million, across various industries. The aim is to achieve a clear value increase with a focus on sustainable, long-term growth of the portfolio company. This role involves on-site work at portfolio companies located across US territory.
Requirements
- Successfully completed a degree in the field of economics, engineering, science or similar with outstanding results
- At least 6 years of experience in transformations, restructuring or turnaround situations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with an entrepreneurial mindset and hands-on approach
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Business fluency in English, with the ability to communicate in a well-structured and concise manner
- Willingness to travel up to 4 days per week (typically Monday – Thursday) and to work in an international environment
Responsibilities
- Supporting our portfolio companies in their turnaround journey, by working closely with the management board and the Mutares team
- Establishing a business plan incl. a turnaround concept and driving the implementation together with the Operations team and the portfolio company, including the management of different stakeholders
- Assessment of strategic decisions (e.g. Insourcing/Outsourcing) together with the local teams and the Mutares team
- Supporting the acquisition and integration process of add on acquisitions
- Establishing the management governance and coherent tracking and reporting within the portfolio company
