About The Position

Bristol Myers Squibb Company is hiring a(n) Senior Manager, Artificial & Decision Intelligence (in New Brunswick, NJ). This role involves implementing, designing, developing, and operationalizing advanced artificial intelligence (AI), generative AI (Gen AI), and decision intelligence capabilities to drive business decisions. The position focuses on implementing scalable AI solutions for complex pharmaceutical business challenges, developing new AI/Gen AI tools aligned with business objectives, and ensuring their effective operationalization. A key aspect is building and optimizing AI agents for autonomous task handling, decision-making, and real-time insights. The role also includes developing and integrating AI-powered chatbots and virtual assistants, augmenting leadership decision-making with AI-driven insights for the Global Product Development & Supply (GPS) organization, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications. Responsibilities also encompass testing and validation of AI models, developing standard AI frameworks, and architecting/managing data pipelines, catalogs, glossaries, and access policies. Up to 10% domestic travel may be required, and telecommuting is permitted up to 25% per week.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field, and three (3) years of related work experience as a Data Scientist or related occupation.
  • Three (3) years of experience in the artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science, data integration, or data enablement domain.
  • Three (3) years of experience configuring cloud-based environments such as Azure, Google AI, or Amazon Web Services (AWS), including S3, Glue, Athena, Redshift, or equivalent cloud data lake platforms.
  • Three (3) years of experience developing AI frameworks using Python and SQL programming languages.
  • Three (3) years of experience applying Agile methodologies and using tools such as JIRA and Confluence to manage project workflows and sprints.
  • Three (3) years of experience reporting and visualizing data analytics using Tableau, Spotfire, Power BI, QlikSense, QuickSight, or MicroStrategy.
  • Three (3) years of experience performing data demand planning and portfolio management using platforms such as Cloudera Data Platform (CDP), Domino, or Snowflake.
  • Three (3) years of experience programming in Python for data analysis, automation, and statistical modeling.
  • Three (3) years of experience conducting data modeling, establishing data governance practices, and implementing data quality best practices.
  • Three (3) years of experience implementing AERA Decision Intelligence or similar AI-driven automation and decision-making platforms.
  • Three (3) years of experience building machine learning models for forecasting, classification, or prediction using Python, R, or similar tools.
  • Three (3) years of experience applying statistical techniques, including regression, time-series forecasting, hypothesis testing, and correlation analysis.
  • Three (3) years of experience designing data pipelines and ETL processes to integrate data from multiple enterprise sources.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications and solutions.
  • Conduct thorough testing and validation of AI models to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Develop standard AI frameworks for streamlined deployment practices.
  • Establish and maintain consistent documentation of AI capabilities.
  • Architect and manage data pipelines, catalogs, glossaries, and access policies to support analytics, AI, and decision intelligence use cases across the enterprise.
