About The Position

The Senior Manager, Architect is accountable for end-to-end solution architecture for major initiatives. Translates business and application needs into architecture patterns, systems interactions, and technology choices. The role owns solution architecture outcomes for assigned initiatives, ensures alignment to enterprise standards, Objectives and Key Results, and non‑functional requirements (e.g., security, scalability, resilience), and provides design oversight throughout build and implementation to ensure architectural integrity and delivery readiness. This role contributes directly to delivery success within the delivery model by enabling speed and autonomy through clear architectural direction, while ensuring solutions conform to governance, risk, and compliance guardrails.

Requirements

  • Post‑secondary degree in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Prior experience operating as a solution architect or systems designer on complex initiatives.
  • Demonstrated capability across solution architecture disciplines, including application, data, integration, cloud, and security design.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and ability to guide delivery outcomes through influence and technical leadership.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience within the financial services industry, including banking, wealth management, insurance, or asset management environments.
  • Experience working with or supporting delivery involving: Salesforce, SAP Data Platform (including SAP data management and analytics capabilities), Salesforce Marketing Cloud
  • Experience working in a product operating model or pod-based delivery environment.
  • Proven success working with geographically dispersed and cross-functional teams, coordinating across multiple regions and time zones.

Responsibilities

  • Owns solution architecture for major initiatives, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards, Objectives and Key Results, and non-functional requirements.
  • Translating business and application needs into architecture patterns, system interaction models, integration approaches, and technology selections.
  • Provide architectural oversight during build to ensure integrity.
  • Collaborate with delivery and enabling roles to ensure seamless integration and operational readiness.
  • Ensure architectural readiness for production including considerations for non-functional requirements, costs and operational support.
  • Apply approved architecture standards, patterns, and review practices. Support use of AI‑assisted practices (e.g., documentation generation, architecture modelling or simulation) in a controlled and governed manner.
  • Participate in architecture chapter activities (e.g., standards, patterns, knowledge sharing, and peer reviews) to strengthen practice consistency and delivery effectiveness.
