Senior Manager, Applied Science, Prime Video - Content Generation Team
About The Position

As a team member, you will have end-to-end ownership of product, user experience, design, and technology. As a highly experienced and seasoned science leader, you will apply state-of-the-art generative AI, graphics, audio, and computer vision research to video-centric digital media. Your responsibilities include creating and maintaining an optimal environment for applied science to recruit, retain, and develop top talent. You will lead the research direction for a team of applied scientists, develop roadmaps for future research, and communicate them to senior leadership. Additionally, you will be responsible for hiring and developing applied scientists to meet evolving customer needs.
Requirements
- 10+ years of applied research experience
- 5+ years of management experience with scientists and/or machine learning engineers
- 5+ years of building machine learning models for business application experience
- PhD, or Master's degree and 6+ years of applied research experience
- Knowledge of ML, NLP, Information Retrieval and Analytics
- Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language
Nice To Haves
- Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers, especially involving Generative AI, machine learning and computer vision.
- Experience with 2D/3D animation and world models
