About The Position

The Aspen Group (TAG) is seeking a Senior Manager, AI-Search to join their team. This role focuses on the intersection of SEO, AI search, and local search, managing technical standards, testing, and cross-channel hygiene for brand visibility across search engines and large language models. This is a hands-on role where the individual will use AI to expedite audits, manage SEO A/B testing, ensure compliance across SEO, AI, and Local search, and identify growth opportunities through cross-brand analysis. The role involves working with senior leadership to align priorities with business objectives and ensure initiatives contribute to patient acquisition. The ideal candidate possesses strong technical SEO skills, a testing-first approach, and the ability to manage multiple brands and channels. They should be comfortable with technical details, building business cases for site improvements, and translating analysis into clear requirements for cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in digital marketing.
  • At least 5 years focused on SEO.
  • At least 3 years in a leadership or managerial capacity.
  • Strong command of crawl analysis, log file analysis, site architecture, internal linking strategy, schema, Core Web Vitals, indexation management, and rendering.
  • Advanced knowledge of Screaming Frog is required.
  • Experience assessing off-site factors including backlink profile health, referring domain quality, and external citation signals.
  • Comfortable working at the technical layer and defining requirements for engineering teams.
  • Demonstrated experience designing, deploying, and analyzing SEO A/B tests.
  • Understanding of statistical rigor, test isolation, and translating test outcomes into production decisions.
  • Practical experience leveraging AI tools to accelerate audit and analysis workflows.
  • Understanding of how large language models source, surface, and cite content.
  • Experience managing or coordinating across national SEO, local search, and AI search channels.
  • Expertise in supporting content initiatives across pages representing more than 1,000 physical locations.
  • Strong analytical mindset with proficiency in analytics and reporting tools (Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Semrush, or equivalent).
  • Ability to connect analysis to business outcomes and patient acquisition.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to define technical requirements, build business cases, and present findings to leadership.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams, prioritize across brands, and deliver on deadlines.

Nice To Haves

  • Healthcare industry experience is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • Multi-Brand Experience: Experience operating across multiple brands or business units within a single organization.
  • Hands-on experience with server log file analysis for SEO purposes.
  • Familiarity with the healthcare industry, including patient acquisition strategies, HIPAA compliance, and navigating industry-specific challenges.
  • Creative Problem Solving.
  • Previous experience with coding languages (Python, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, or similar) is a plus.
  • Ability to write or modify scripts for data extraction, automation, or technical SEO analysis is valued.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain unified standards across SEO, AI search, and Local search.
  • Build systems to monitor compliance with best practices and support cross-functional teams in maintaining those standards.
  • Implement technical updates and ensure consistent application across all brands.
  • Leverage AI tools and platforms to improve efficiency and accuracy of technical and content audits.
  • Deploy SEO A/B tests to understand impact on results, design test frameworks, analyze outcomes, and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Manage coordination and reconciliation of SEO, AI, and Local hygiene across brands, ensuring data consistency and accuracy.
  • Proactively identify new growth opportunities through regular analysis across all brands, surfacing trends, competitive gaps, and untapped search demand.
  • Support content deployments through benchmarking, crawl analysis, and performance monitoring, providing pre- and post-publish performance context.
  • Verify correct implementation and performance of technical and content changes, owning the post-implementation QA process.
  • Stay current with new developments in SEO and AI visibility, evaluating emerging ranking factors and AI search surface changes.
  • Conduct internal linking analysis to identify structural opportunities and improve crawl efficiency.
  • Monitor and assess off-site factors influencing search visibility, including backlink profile health and referring domain quality.
  • Escalate technical issues, define requirements, and build business cases to advance SEO and AI site performance.
  • Provide data-driven reporting and actionable insights to stakeholders, focusing on performance trends and impact on patient acquisition.
