About The Position

AVEVA is seeking a passionate Senior Manager to lead the Core AI Services team. This role involves leading the delivery and effectiveness of multiple Scrum teams focused on building AI platform services. The Senior Manager will work closely with Technical Leads, ensuring alignment with the AI platform's vision, strategy, and roadmap, while also prioritizing team health, performance, and career development. Collaboration with product, portfolio, and engineering stakeholders is crucial to meet broader company objectives. The team's goal is to deliver and scale secure, reliable, and cloud-native AI-enabled platform services and public APIs, which will serve as the foundation for AI adoption across AVEVA's product portfolio and partner ecosystem. Initially, the role will manage two Scrum teams with members distributed across various locations.

Requirements

15+ years in software/product development with delivery leadership
Proven track record delivering complex distributed systems
Strong execution, planning, and tracking experience
Experience managing dependencies, risks, and cross-team delivery
Strong people leadership and coaching experience
Agile delivery experience and continuous improvement mindset
Good understanding of cloud and modern engineering practices
Strong stakeholder communication skills
Experience working in globally distributed teams

Nice To Haves

Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts including LLMs
Familiarity with RAG, agents, and orchestration patterns
Awareness of MCP, A2A frameworks
Understanding of cloud-native architectures (Azure preferred)
Ability to partner with Technical Leads on design decisions
Knowledge of AI lifecycle, governance, and security

Responsibilities

Lead and manage delivery across multiple Scrum teams ensuring predictable, high-quality outcomes
Own planning, prioritization, dependency management, and delivery tracking
Translate business priorities into clear delivery plans
Manage risks, dependencies, and blockers proactively
Lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams
Own performance management and career development
Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
Align with Product, Portfolio, and Architecture teams
Provide clear visibility into progress, risks, and trade-offs
Act as escalation point for delivery issues
Drive effective Agile practices
Improve delivery predictability and team efficiency
Enable collaboration across distributed teams
Maintain technical understanding to support decisions
Work with Technical Leads on architecture alignment
