Growth in our digital advertising business is key to Walmart’s overall growth strategy. Walmart Connect is seeking a Senior Manager to join the Media Insights team. Reporting to the Director of Thought Leadership Research, you will bring the analytical rigor, responsiveness, and creativity required to support WMC’s market-leading advertising measurement and insights. As an individual contributor, you will create market facing insights to help top tier agencies, tech partners, and advertisers understand media performance, optimize strategy, and generate incremental investment. The Senior Manager will be asked to provide mentorship and instruction to a small subset of talented analytics professionals working on thought leadership research projects. The individual needs to be analytical and solution-driven with the ability to partner with the larger Strategic Insights & Media Analytics team, as well as the Sales & Marketing teams to effectively communicate complex media and measurement insights, internally and externally. You will play a critical role in analyzing customer behavior, measurement, and performance data across various channels. You will be responsible for leveraging data-driven insights to analyze across client retail media strategies and drive long-term investment with Walmart Connect as a trusted strategic consultant and partner for our partners. Ultimately, you will excel at thinking broadly across campaigns to do higher level storytelling that positions Walmart Connect as a thought leader in the industry. Leveraging your capacity to use tools like Tableau and SQL, you will derive both tactical and strategic insights and communicate them back to internal and external stakeholders. From strategy and planning to execution, you will deliver proprietary insights targeted to media buyers and C-suite executives, as well as the broader community of marketers and partners who are seeking to understand how they can best leverage the Walmart Connect product suite to drive their goals. What you'll do... The Senior Manager on the Thought Leadership Research Media Insights team will lead in managing the interpretation, analytics reporting, and analysis for key insights & performance recommendations across Walmart Connect campaigns and other data sources. To be right for this role, you should: Have a keen interest in consumer insights and how to marry them to Walmart Connect first-party data Demonstrate the ability to collaborate successfully, given this role works across Walmart Connect and Walmart Enterprise teams to pull data that helps craft the thought leadership narratives we are trying to push into market. Be comfortable diving into different kinds of data sets, leveraging your understanding of our products and the marketing funnel to bring more depth and qualitative understanding on how we move shoppers down the funnel into conversion. It’s the details of the journey, not just the destination, that counts. Showcase experience in supporting sales and marketing teams as this role supports various teams across Walmart Connect, with a particular focus on our agency & tech sales partnerships, as well as the larger Walmart Connect Marketing team. Be able to partner with our counterparts on the Media Insights Shared Services team, specifically on experimentation, methodologies, dashboard creation (where needed) and best-in-class data analysis. Be a tether to the Media Insights Strategic Business Units, making sure the team is aware of any analyses that are beneficial to the overall Walmart Connect story, scaling across product categories where appropriate. Be a core data governance collaborator, working closely with DG to understand the limitations and creativity we can apply in releasing advanced analytics that will ultimately span several categories and campaigns. Be able to create and lead client-facing analyses and materials, including calls and in-person presentations, to drive recommendations and guidance for Walmart Connect’s top agencies and partners.
